MAKE SURE WATER PUMP WEEP HOLE NOT LEAKING.IF SO REPLACE IT.MAKE SURE YOU HAVE 50/50 MIXTURE OF ANTIFREEZE AND WATER.MAKE SURE YOUR COOLING FAN IS WORKING .IF YOU GOT A CLUTCH FAN IT SHOULD NOT BE LOOSE OR FREE WHEELING.IT SHOULD HAVE RESISTANCE WHEN YOU TURN IT BY HAND.IF YOU GOT ELECTRIC COOLING FANS TURN ON AC SWITCH TO SEE IF THEY COME ON IF YES FANS WORKING IF NOT COOLING FANS RELAY IS BAD.ALSO SCAN IT TO CHECK COOLANT TEMPERATURE SENSOR.TOO SEE IF MATCHING THE ENGINE COOLANT TEMP IF NOT REPLACE IT.IT WILL CAUSE YOUR COOLING FANS NOT TO COME ON AT A SET TEMPERATURE.CAUSING ENGINE TO OVER HEAT.. .

OVERFLOW IS BOILING

If the thermostat is not opening, the engine will keep getting hotter as you drive. You could be low on coolant and have air pockets in the system which would cause the temp gauge to not be accurate. Is the radiator fan coming on when the tank is boiling ?

The overflow bottle keeps getting hot within like ten minutes and it steams and boils ....now i had the radiator pressure tested and its just fine and so is the water pump.. and when the temperature needle...

Why did the shop you went to,not resolve those issues?

Could be the thermostat, clogged radiator or a head
gasket going

Have a combustion test done at the radiator
Takes about 10 minutes to do

Won't hold fluid in the over feel bottle keeps boiling out was told it could be a therostat sensor

Could it be leaking from the hose connection from the overflow reservoir to the radiator?
It sounds more like the thermostat needs to be replaced.

Coolant boils back through overflow after run ning for ten minutes

possible blown head gasket. Take off radiator cap and look for air bubbles coming up to confirm. If no bubble, remove and test thermostat. Questions, please let us know.

Coolant fills overflow then overheats, have changed thermostat and temp sensor. is the water pump shot or a rad problem.

You got it right.
To determine which one is the right one:
1- Take ioff the thermostat, Run the engine without it. If water is coming out at the upper hose then pump is working.
2- Hook the upper hose back to the radiator without thermostat, run the engine and press the upper hose to see if coolant flowing throu it. If it is not then , the radiator gets clogged up.
3- At this point , you know what to do. One advice is that, get the new radiator if it is bad. Don't waste money to have it rebuilt. Good luck.

What causes 1991 toyota camry to over heat? we put a new radiator in it last year cause the radiator got cracked. but it didnt start overheating til this year. so we changed the thermostat thinking it...

Change the radiator cap, it may be the wrong pressure rating which will cause the coolant to boil at a much lower temperature than designed.

03 silverado overheats while sitting with A/C on. Fan is working and coolant is full. It only overheats when A/C is on.

That is common since the a/c condenser is in front of the radiator. It may just be time for you to service the cooling system. If you have the orange antifreeze in your system, there only good for 5 years or 150,000 miles and then it needs to be flushed out and replaced with new antifreeze. Make sure the new antifreeze has a 50/50 mix (antifreeze/water) to much antifreeze will gel up when heated causing poor heat transfer and to much water will boil over. Water has great heat transfer but boils at 100C' so antifreeze is added. Service the cooling system for now, don't worry about the thermostat till you change the antifreeze unless you want to replace it too.  Good luck and keep me posted.
