Where can I find a step-by-step diagram for where the springs go on a 95 ranger brake drum?

Drum brakes are actually fairly simple, if you don't get too far ahead of yourself. If you haven't pulled both rear brakes apart, you can remove the drum from the other rear wheel and look at the installation of that wheel's spring and such. The only difference is that the other side is installed as a mirror image, so you have to mentally reverse everything for the side you are doing.

Can you walk me through the steps on how to replace rear brake shoes on a 1989 bronco II

The best way to do it , is remove the drums from both sides. Take one side apart. When putting back together, look at the other side, just remember it is opposite from the side you\'re working on. springs are in the same place, just backwards. Do NOT get parts from one side mixed...They are color coded. Get the hardware kits. They wont come with the slack adjusters. Make sure the adjusters are clean and move freely. Most adjusters are screw type, some (Ford) have rachet types. If they look worn, they are bad. Replace them also. Lude them with anti sleaze/ silver nitrate.

Need to get diagrams on were everything bolts onto so i can put dash back together in my 1998 ford expedition

did you take it apart very long ago-try to remember the last things you took out and work your way back out from there-I always start at the top of the pile of stuff I took out and work back from there-when you run outta screws your done-and if you gotta few left over-save them for the next time-Denny

I cant get new brake pads and drums to fit on the rear of a 96 ford contour. I had to put the old pads on to use the new drums.

you need to retract the star adjuster to compensate for the thicker shoes and fatter drum

once on, then you have to expand the star adjust to create a slight drag

you know you've done it correctly when the parking brake feels normal and holds the vehicle on a slight hill

Brake shoes

I would have to send you pics. This system uses a spring loaded adjuster which you can use a screwdriver through the rear of the backing plate and listen for the clicks but, if you go too far you may sieze the wheel. You need a very light drag when rotating the drum by hand or with the wheel on and then test the e-brake for tension and hold. If you wish to have diagrams, email me at iambanshee74@yahoo.com

96 ford contour poer steering fluid

Open the hood and look at the very back corner (passenger side) of the engine compartment, there will be a white plastic bottle with a black thread on lid. This is where the power steering fluid goes. The bottle has marks on the side of it to indicate how far to fill if needed.
