Take the positive cable off the battery for 10 minutes. then replace it to reset it. if this does not work then take it to ford they have a reset machine.

You may have accidentally damaged the wheel speed sensor. Have it scanned to find out which one.

After changing the rear drum brakes on my 05 Focus the ABS light is on... I unplugged the sensor lead from the cable and undid the nut that holds the sensor in the drum in order to remove the shoes....

Maybe something came loose..Being you cannot scan the vehicle..You may have to start over..Revome each drum make sure the wheel cylinders are in contact with the shoes..Then make sure the connector wires didnt pull out of the connectors...Also check the master cylinder plunger ..Make sure its not stuck Its located in the cap instead of the resevoir..

The ABS light is on and off. when it is on it will make a feeling of the front tires rolling under the car then the light will come on. you feel it in the peddle also with movement toward the floor while...

sounds like you have a abs sensor failing to read a signal on one wheel , car thinks that the wheel has locked up and as you press the brake it cuts the abs in and tries to release the brakes which is the noise your hearing and poss pulling to one side as you brake untill computer recognises a fault and shuts down the abs system which is when the abs light comes on, this pulling may indicate which one is faulty, it will need a abs sensor or signal ring on the drive shaft, usually a front one ! a damaged wheel bearing can cause an interupted signal to that sensor, failing that your abs pump is faulty, hopefully not the pump as this is very expensive

My Trac Off light is on and so is my ABS light.

You are going to need to either replace your abs sensors or your entire wheel bearing and the abs sensor will be included... What the abs sensor does is tell the computer when the wheel is turning or locked, if the abs sensor is bad the computer will not know if the wheel is turning or not, so this will also interact with your traction control.

ABS ligth on caravan 2003

Yes, The light should clear after fix the problem. Check the connection on the sensors. Theres 4, one at each wheel. If you have air in the lines the ABS light will come on. To bleed go left rear, right front, right rear, left front. Don't let the reservoir go dry. Brake fluid should be changed every 30,000 miles

After replacing rear drums the ABS light is on

you probably bumped the sensor and now it isn't close enough to the gear looking thingy to read it. just set the abs sensor a little closer so the light goes off but the sensor ins't touching the gear thingy. I have had the same problem. I bet your abs isn't working right now. see if you your brakes lock up when you slam on them.
