Sugar was put n my cas tank but didnt start car what to do so i can save my car

if someone put sugar in gas tank and you havent tried to start it then your OK you just need to drop your gas tank and flush it out . If you tried to start it and it got to your engine then you have a major problem like getting a new engine

It can probably be saved, but its going to be expensive.
You have probably ruined the fuel pump and injectors, among other things.
The fuel system would need to be removed and an attempt made to clean it out, including the gas tank.
It could be over a thousand dollars to repair in the US.

You must remove the gas tank and flush it out with clean water then with denatured alcohol and then let it dry. You will also need to replace the fuel filter and purge the fuel lines.

Well if your lucky, drop the tank and have it cleaned, put a new fuel pump strainer on and a fuel filter, maybe there is no other damage, don't run it any more till all is repaired

please tell me you have not been driving around after finding sugar in the tank,cos if you have, and the sugar has gone right through the system, it is going to cost you thousands......new tank/new fuel lines.new carb or injectors,even pistons and valves.....(what happens when you put sugar on a spoon and heat it.....)ive got to say it, HOW STUPID.

if it still starts then your ok.remove gas tank and dump fuel.clean out any sugar on bottom of tank.go throuh the fuel pump hole. use a water hose if needed then let it dry.fill up tank and just run it it will be ok. what sugar does to an engine [and never mind myth busters, they are wrong] ive seen it 4 times, someone in town was having fun with sugar in the tank.anyways with enough sugar in gas tank the sugar disolves in the fuel.then engine,especially the valve stems get hot and sugar becomes a molten goo on the parts,valves,pistons,cylinders,fuel injectors.only the hot parts seem to be effected. then when you turn the engine off the sugar cools and becomes hard like a piece of hard candie.the valve stems are now locked into valve guides and cannot open or close,it takes alot more driving to damage pistons and rings only a little sugar is injected on every intake stroke and its aimed right at the valve stem.one mile of driving i dought will cause problems. beware that if the sugar was poured it dry you will need to flush out the filler neck.if it was dry then very little got in the tank anyway,unless you put gas in it after sugar was added

It is a myth that sugar will mess your car up. Sugar does not dissolve in gas, it will just sit in the bottom of the gas tank. You will need to drop the tank and have it cleaned, and replace the in-tank fuel filter, but anything upstream of the fuel filter will be okay.

How do you know if its got sugar in it? I dought it trashed the engine unless they poured it in the oil too. Drop the fuel tank and clean it out, take fuel filter off and thro away, blow out the fuel line put new filter on put tank back in fill with new gas and an additive of some sorts that can clean the injectors and run it. Thats the best i can tell you to do.

You must drain the tank remove from the car flush it out with pump and screen out of it you will need
a list or car jack and several stands change the screen and fuel filter also . Good luck

you need too flush the tank what that prob is
is pices of the old fuel pump that thas broke off or pellets where thy didnt trim the plastic piece that sits in the bottom of the tank
if it was sugar ,it wouldn ball up like that ,sugar doesnt do any damage till the heat of the engine hits it
