Question about 1997 Nissan Maxima
When the temperature goes up the car won't start. When it's low, the car is fine. All of my terminals and lights work just fine. It makes no noise however when I turn the key. I just got a new battery because the old one had a dead cell.
YOU NEED TO CHECK COOLANT LEVEL.AND CHECK THERMOSTAT.WHEN YOU FIRST START YOUR CAR UP IN THE MORNING .WHEN IT GET OPERATING TEMP.RUN ABOUT 5 TO 10 MINUTES.FEEL TOP RADIATOR HOSE AND THE BOTTOM RADIATOR HOSE.IF BOTH HOSES IS HOT THERMOSTAT GOOD.IF TOP HOSE IS NOT HOT BUT THE BOTTOM IS REPLACE THERMOSTAT.THAT CAUSING ENGINE TO GET HOT.IF ALL IS GOOD.CHECK WATER PUMP WEEP HOLE.IF LEAKING REPLACE WATER PUMP.CHECK COOLING FANS.MAKE SURE THEY ARE RUNNING.IF NOT CHECK FUSE AND RELAYS.
