Question about 2001 Hyundai Sonata
Dies and will not start until a day later, transmission slams when the gas gets below a half tank, the RPM runs even with how fast your driving-exp if I'm going 40mph the RPM meter is at a 4, had it put on a computer for test and the codes I got back were P1529, U3600, and U00D00. Does this car need a mechanic or can I have my brother fix these problems what ever they are. What are they? Please can someone help.
Dear friend-sorry to say your problem is worse than you think, the problem lies with the transmission control unit(tcm)the communication link between the TCM and ECM is malfuctioning(wiring)this problem needs the attention of a technician.

Yes I had the same problem, no doubt you are sorted now, I had problems with failure to change up from first, not changing to 4th and disingaging and re ingaging, I was under warranty, and had a new tcm fitted, filter and auto fluid changed and now runs like a dream, but many times put on the computer which showed no faults.
