Take the car to an autoparts store and have them use a scan tool and retrieve the fault code(s) from the computer. Most parts stores will do this for free. The fault codes should narrow down what the problem or potential problem may be. Hope this helped and best wishes.

Mazda 626 (1994) Random intermittant stalling

The first thing you need done here is to have the dealer or a shop scan the ECM (computer) for fault codes, this could be just a defective electronic engine control sensor like a crankshaft sensor or a defective ICM (ignition module). So before you do anything else have the scan done with the special scan tool required.

My1991 mazda 626 will not rev up over 3000 rpm

DO YOU MEAN WHEN YOU ARE ACCELERATING? Or do you mean sitting and reving the engine? If you are just reving the engine in park then the rev limiter is kicking in.

Under steady acceleration, engine light goes on

Being a 95 it dosent have OBD2 so it may not store a trouble code in the computer.
From the symptoms it sounds like either, Air flow sensor, O2 sensor
The O2 will not usually cause stalling under acceleration.

02 sensor or a list of other things. Have a tech hook it up to a testing unit and see what code it gives off.

1995 mazda 626 overheating

this appears to be a common problem with 626s. Assuming you have done the normal things: checked the coolant & thermostat the big culprits are the electric fans not coming on & the radiator being too small to provide any leaway if it gets clogged. make sure there are no leaves etc blocking it but it probably is scale build up inside.

Also be sure to check the overflow tank for cracks - they do that a lot particularly if they over heat
