Question about 1996 Dodge Caravan
My 96 Grand Caravan SE does the same thing. The 3.0 engine is notorious for having the rings burn out at around 100,000 miles leaving you with heavy and consistant oil burning. The low oil pressure switch may actually be trying to stall the engine to protect it at idle speeds due to the low oil pressure from the internal leakage and blow-by. Just a thought.

What engine code(s) are you getiing? Try cycling key to, on ,off, on, off, on & leave on. (not start)
now count flashes from check engine light. will be flashes, pause ,flashes for 2 digit #'s. For example: 2 flashes , pause, 2 more is code 22.
3 flashes, pause, 3 more, is code 33. Write them down & get back to us. By the way when you get 55, thats end of message.
