SOURCE: Speedometer on 97 Civic lx stopped working last

check alternator fuse!! if its blown....

under the intake manifold at the rear of the engine there is a pack of wires. This pack rubs on the bottom of the intake and creates a short circuit which screws up the !!speedo!!, sets off the check engine light and gives a trouble code (if you know how to read the check engine flashes) that there is a problem with the O2 sensor, and sometimes the headlights would surge.

Just crawl under the car when it is up on stands and gently turn over the pack of wires under the intake to expose the bare wire or wires. Tape them up and away you go.

SOURCE: Settings to torgue big end bearing and main bearing for toyota yaris t1 2007 model

I was recently called a smart-a** for saying this, but seems to me you should not be making major repairs without access to a shop manual. Just popping in a new set of bearings seldom works for long, so you need all the spec's for crank size, bearing clearances, rod side play, piston fitment, and so forth. The book is cheap and may save you much wasted $.

My bright lights keep jumping on in the middle of the night. Is there a fuse for the bright lights

If the lights are coming on, WHY would you be looking for a fuse??? If the fuse is blown, the lights ill not work at all!

When you say "the middle of the night" are you saying that hey are coming on when the car is turned off and nobody is near it? or are you saying that they are switching to bright when you are driving?

Please review the following articles and get back with me.

Is there any warning giving on the cockpit dials if the oil pump fails on a car engine

Yes. There's a bright red oil pressure light. It's the one which you see briefly when the ignition is in the on position before turning fully to start. The light goes off as soon as the engine is running with normal oil pressure and only come on again if the oil pressure drops below specifications or if the sensor is faulty.

Headlights dont work

car headlights have 2 filaments each, 1 for high beam and other one for low, if both headlights are off there might be problem with the wires or relays and fuse. Have this serviced by an authorized auto-electrician since electrical wirings for gasoline engined cars are quite delicate and requires urgent attention.

No driving lights?

Hello there - I would suggest checking the fuse for your lights in the fuse box, and check under the hood for a fuse/relay box, and have the relay tested. If the fuses and relays are good, open the hood, and try to check the connection to the headlights and make sure they are securely connected. You also mentioned that when you push the headlights switch forward for brights, and turn on the night time head lights, and neither come on but the daytime lights do, makes me suspect the switch itself may be bad. I would first check the fuses and relays if any. Second, I would replace the bulbs (if replacable). Other than that, my last guess would be an electrical problem in the wiring somewhere. I hope this information helps you fix your lights. Thank you for your time and consideration in my suggestions/answers.

08 Yaris, Dashlights/radio/ and nobs lights do not come on

I had the same problem. On the the dash on the left side near the steering wheel, there is a wheel like knob. Roll the knob until your dash lights come on when you have the headlights on. If its rolled in one direction they're off in the other they're on.
