Your A/C switch has probably gone bad so what you can do is and wire a bypass switch on dash leading to your battery so you will now be working off an isolated circuit which will now go straight to the source of power.
check your A/C circuit relay and power relay too. Switch is located directly behind your a/c button panel.

Why doesn't the A/C work?

Check the fuses, if they are ok you might not have ENOUGH Freon in the system to close the low limit switch.

do you have freon in the system because the low pressure switch will not let the compressor run with out enough freon dont know where the switch is but it should be near the dryer there is also a diode in the harness going to the compressor

1994 nissan pickup a/c will not come on when i push the button, wont light up.Blower works fine, if i bypass the relay a/c works and it has enough freon. the relay is also good, could it be the a/c switch?

Yes the AC compressor swich could be bad, you could check switch continuity possible bad contacts. Also check to make shore you have proper DC voltage supplying switch, should be 12 volt DC.

Low beams turn off after about 5 min high beams work when you hold the switch replaced the relay under the hood still same problem what do i do now?

Make sure you've changed the correct relay. Next unhook the battery. Sometimes the computer will retain the fault code sent by the bad relay and think the bad relay is still there although it's been changed. On rare occasion, you can get hold of a faulty "new" part. Also check wiring associated with the relay. A bad wire or short can cause a good relay to go bad.

My a/c is not working but the compressor is good. the compressor is not engaging. is there a relay or fuse i need to look for?

No fuse or relay, first if the compressor is not engaging, most times means your system is low on freon. There is a low pressure switch that keeps the compressor safe if not enough freon to run properly. Buy you a can of 134a with a reusable valve/hose and add a little to the system. The valve will have a gage to show if it is low or not. If it is not low, then the pressure switch may be bad.

The A/C compressor dosen't work . I chick all the electrictity in fuse box front and aft looks normal but the new A/C wolden't work . some tolled me it may be the control panal but I'm not sure . When I...

Is there enough freon in the system? There are pressure switches in the AC lines that operate the compressor when there is enough freon. Also see if there is a relay under the hood for the ac. Remove the wire at the compressor test with test light for power. If there is power check ground.

2000 saab 95 air con - relay not receiving message to start compressor.

a/c systems have what is called a low pressure switch, If there isnt enough pressure(freon) in it the compressor wont kick on. I would read the pressures and go from there. 99% of the time when a compressor wont turn on i find that it is low on freon.

A/c does not work clutch will not engage is there a relay that might have gone bad and where can I find the switch

AC systems have a pressure switch that won't allow compresser to engage w/o enough freon in system.they sell an inexpensive hose, gauge,& can of freon kit at auto stores.look for the kind that has dye in it to show if you have a leak.

Air Conditioning doesn't work

Sounds like you are on the right track. Jump the pressure switch and see if the compressor comes on.
