Question about 1999 Audi A6

1 Answer

ABS light, brake light, tachometer to zero, oil light, a/c

My 1999 v W PASSAT has the ABS light come on and stay on, the tachometer goes to zero, the oil light flashes in the center, three beeps sound, and the air conditioner stops kicking out cold air. The fan continues to work, but there is no cold air. This problem was intermittent, but now is constant.
Thank you for your best guess!

I can guarantee that you have several shorts in your wiring harness that is leading to all of your accessories and switches. find the electrical shorts and you will fix your problem. also your sensors (idiot lights) are popping on because of defective connections in the wiring. also check all of your relay circuits and fuses.

Replaced front brakes ABS light comes on and

Hi:
The ABS light on means an ABS malfunction. You should be able to have a auto parts store scan your car and find out what code is tripped, for free, but my guess is that one of your front wheel speed sensors is out of whack, or dirty or something.
When the light is on, your normal brakes work fine, but you have no ABS, so your car will take longer to stop in emergency situations.

Same here! ABS & oil lights come on, tachometer stops & no AC

try having your battery and alternator tested,it could be a volt drop.also check the main earth points to the body.good luck.

ABS light, brake light, tachometer to zero, oil light, A/C

This sounds like a bad ground or poor connection maybe in the main plug that connects at the firewall. The last thing to condemn would be the computer. I have come across a good many of this thing on the older model cars and trucks, and all you can do is search it out.

Oil light and brake lights blinks on and off and abs light is on

Just a idea. If the car is running at idle and the oil light blinks , it usually from low oil pressure. At a idle your seeing the light respond to the revolutions of the engine. ! thing to try is to replace the oil pressure switch on the engine block. And #2, Most causes in a VW is that the vehicle overheated at one time and weekend the oil pump,or massive amount of miles.
