I have a DD aw366 defy front loader washing machine that goes on and I can set it for a cycle but the drum dose not turn at all

How do you know the motor is getting power? When you start the wash cycle do you get any different noises like you can hear the motor spinning, a squeal noise, a 'grumbling' sound or just nothing at all? Does the drum turn when you push it by hand from inside? Does it spin smoothly and quietly when you turn it by hand?
If you can hear the motor and the drum spins freely this could just be a broken drive belt. Comment below with these answers and I'll try to help you more.

My washing machine keeps on cutting off.

Hello
If your washing machine is cutting off after only running for a few seconds, it could be due to a few different issues:
  1. Overloading: If you have too many clothes in the drum, it can put too much strain on the motor and cause it to shut off. Remove some clothes and try again.
  2. Clogged pump: If there is an object stuck in the pump or the pump filter is clogged, it can cause the machine to shut off. Clean the pump and filter to see if this resolves the issue.
  3. Overheating: If the motor is overheating, it will shut off to protect itself. Wait for the motor to cool down and then try again.
  4. Malfunctioning motor control board: If the motor control board is damaged, it may cause the machine to shut off. Have a professional diagnose and repair the issue.
If you're hearing a slipping noise from the belt, it could indicate that the belt is loose or worn and needs to be replaced. This can also cause the machine to shut off if the belt is slipping too much. If you're not familiar with repairing washing machines, I would recommend contacting a professional for assistance.

Why is my LG wd80130fu not spinning anymore

Hi,

Please attempt to run your washing machine without clothes and see if it spins. Or you might toss one small piece of clothing in just to be able to check if the spin occurred or not. If you do this and spin occurs, then you might be adding to many clothes to your washer with each wash.

Thank you.

Kenmore washer won't fast spin

On most modern Washing Machines there will be an engineers program. To get into it there will be a key or button press combination.
You should be able to reset and control functions from there.

Google your Model with Engineer Program etc.

Magtag dryer is making a knocking noise...still dries the clothes well

It is so common that the washing machine can make terrible noise in many ways and is a common fault. In all occasions it is important that your observation is most important and so is vital to the identification /rectification and solution. If you have noticed that machine is vibrating when it is running then the motor /drum suspension has to be inspected. Since these fittings are located on the underside of the machine it is important that you look for the noise with a good inspection lamp. Manually turn the motor and drum and listen for the noise, if so the motor bearings, the drum agitator shaft and fittings must be checked. Also the suspensions which include the shock absorbers and springs, the body clamps must be checked to be in correct alignment and not changed in position. Tightening of the mounting is also very important. Finally in most cases a drop of OIL or smear of grease on the moving parts cane solve most issues.

My 95 Lexus es 300 won't start, unless you wiggle the gear shifter. what is the problem?

Cars today are designed to not start unless in park or neutral. Given that there is a sensor that indicates the car is in neutral or park and the sensor is likely mechanical in nature. For example when you open your washing machine top during the spin cycle the drum stops however if you use a screwdrive and push the sensor latch down you can watch the machine spin with the lid open. Based upon the age of the vehicle it's likely the gear shifter has loosened up and does not always seat itself while in park hence the need to jiggle in order to get the sensor to tell the car is in park. Good luck, hope this helps!
