You may have blown a relay or possibly a fusible link. You can test either with an ohmmeter or multi-tester. How are other components like lights and guages? If they are flashing and acting weird, then I would suggest voltage regulator

Hi there your problem is quite complicated to solve so be careful not to buy parts without careful thought. If the car start ok and then once warmed up,it does not idle properly this could be few reasons..First one is if you are having a check engine light is to diagnose it and get the error code and from there look further to investigate.Normally when the IAC has got carbon clogged to it then it causes this idling problem but in your case it starts when hot,so bypass IAC. Now it may be anything like a coil etc..Do not always think that removing a battery resets ECU,sometimes they don't work.Download digimotolite(search on google) and buy ELM327 cable from ebay and you have yourself a super cheap diagnostic tool which will erase this error fault.Remember each time you replace any parts like a sensor etc you need to reset ECU to update it.

Find out what code the check engine light is setting, also when u changed the parts and then disconnected the battery u lost the idle that has been learned by the computer, it learns your driving habits and when you cleared the light you lost all that, before you panic do this, spray carb spray down the intake to clean out the remaining sludge around the throttle valve, this is very important, the engine will try to stall while you do this so hold the idle up at about 1500 RPM, use about 1/2 the can of carburetor cleaned, then shut it down and let it soak, after 15 min's restart and rev the engine to clear out the gunk you cleaned, then drive it in mixed driving for about 50 miles, freeway, city and stop and go with frequent idling, if the check engine light comes back on find out the trouble code and post it in the free forum for us to look at.

When you unhooked the battery the idle air control was trying to search for the right position.I know he told you to clean the iac but in reality it needs replace the little motor is weak inside .If the iac is not in the right position then it will cause a internal vacuum leak the jeep will not stop . When you hooked back up the battery the iac took on a different position that is why it will not start. so by a iac solenoid this will fix it .I know i am not the same person you talked to but i can help.

Check engine light came on, checked oil and it was fine. I was looking at my gauges, and the oil pressure seemed really off. It's normally around 20 at idle which is normal then its normally at 40 when...

it could be as simple as a bad oil pressure, or it could be a bad engine. If the oil pressure was good before the oil change maybe the oil filter might be the problem

Oil pressure guage intermitently falls to zero when idling. The dashboard "check gauge" light comes on. Has happened on three different occasions out of about 20 driving excursions. When it isn't happening...

My jeep also has started doing this. I replaced the oil pressure sensor. Sensor on the 4.7 is above the oil filter, follow the wires, typicaly is a 1 1/16 socket.

My 2002 jeep liberty failed the illinois Emission test !

there are many items that will cause your truck not to be clean
when you spark get weak it will not burn all the fuel and not set a code so a good ign tune up pluga and plug wires and related parts and a good injector cleaner. then you need to take it out for a long drive to clean out the system. i have seen many cars not pass just because of alot of idle time.
you didnt say how many miles are on this jeep or how long since a tune up?

Brakes are products that wear with time. Not avoidable.
Window motors or any other electrical item could stop working from the first day of replacement.
I don't remember any thermostat code working at the dealer.
I have been a Jeep person for 20 years. I love them.
