My jeep wrangler safari cant move the automatic shift out of park

There is a safety switch on the brake pedal and if it fails you cannot move the gear shift lever. Check under the dash on the brake pedal shaft for the switch and make sure it is not loose, disconnected, damaged or failed.

My jeep wrangler 2008 - I shifted to reverse then to parking, when i release the breaks it kept going in reverse. So i turn off the engine. now it wont start the engine, neither the shifter will move

The shifter cable has broken more than likely ,Find the shift shaft on the transmission,,block the wheels and remove the shift cable from the shift shaft, put the gear shift in park, then shift the shift shaft in park, then it will start,Then of course you will have to replace the shift cable.

My steering wheel is locked and i cant get my key to turn

SOME TIMES IF YOU PARK TO CLOSE TO A CURB OF ANYTHING THAT MAY PUT PRESSURE ON THE FRONT END THIS WILL HAPPEN
1) MAKE SURE THE SHIFTER IS FULLY IN PARK
2) TRY MOVING THE STEERING WHEEL WHILE YOU TURN THE KEY IN BOTH DIRECTIONS DO THE WHEN PUTTING THE SHIFTER IN PARK
THESE ARE THE ONLY TWO PROBLEMS THAT ARE COMMON WHEN YOUR KEY WON'T TURN
LET ME KNOW HOW YOU DO

Grab the steering wheel and slightly move it while turning the key with the right hand-keep your foot on the brake, and make certain the car is in park.

I have a 03 Jeep Liberty - whether I'm pulling in or out of a parking spaced and turning the wheels, it feels as if something is grabbing or rubbing against the front wheels. Making u-turns is extremely...

it is difficult to make sharp turns while in 4 wheel drive on a hard surface. If you are able to make sharp turn easily in 2 wheel drive then everything is probably OK. Check your owners manual and review the 4 wheel drive section, there is much to learn.

Screeching noise

If your C/V joint is going bad it will make a nasty clicking sound and get louder the longer you leave it unattended. If this noise went away it could have been something stuck it the moving area of your wheel and just worked itself out.Keep an ear out for the noise to return,it it dosen't come back be happy.

1995 jeep grand cherokee right rear axle bind in sharp turn

If you have a positraction rear differential, the clutches may be sticking. If so, change lube and use an additive for posi rears. After changing lube, go in a parking lot and make a series of tight turns in both directions to get plates to separate and resume normal function. Before changing lube check to make sure it is full and that no suspension components in the rear are broken or loose that could cause rear to move and drag one wheel when turning.
