Vw golf oil pressure

Most likely you have some clogged oil passages. You can try a cleaning additive but I prefer to substitute 1 quart of oil for 1 quart of transmission fluid during an oil change. Run the motor (in the driveway) for about 10 minutes, drain it and refill it with clean oil that the manufacturer recommends.

If that doesn't work, you may need to replace the engine.

Horn honks when turning, randomly

sounds like a electrical problem. When you turn it is completing the circuit some how, sounds like wires are touching each other and making the horn honk when turning. easiest thing is remove the fuse if possible.

Temprature running 3/4

This is most probably the thermostat that needs to be replaced. It is a rather inexpensive repair or if you feel up to it you could probably do it yourself. It is well worth looking into because an engine that runs too cool will consume more fuel than necessary.

Good luck!

1989 golf overheats

Try REMOVING the thermostat... if this cures the problem then the thermostat was faulty or incorrectly installed or the wrong T-stat. If this does NOT fix it then suspect a clogged radiator... (this would explain why the fan doesn't come on.. the thermostatic switch in the radiator doesn't warm up!)
