Your transmisson has unfortunatly been run till all the clutches and plates have worn out. Only way to fix it is to either have it rebuilt, or replaced with a new unit.
Maybe the ****** fluid is LOW. I had a car once and when the ****** fluid got low, every turn i took was like being in neutral. It is just because the fluid goes to the one end of the transmission when turning. Check the fluid level and if low, top 'er up and watch for leaks!
check for any electric switches on or around your shifter . but the slipping worries me its hard to say your interpretation of slipping and mine are probably very different
Could you elaborate a bit more? When you put it in gear it doesn't
move? Does the gear engage? Is it stick or auto? Did this problem show
up suddenly or gradually? Have you had the problem before?
You could be looking at a transmission problem. Even a shot engine normally has enough power to move the vehicle, if not slowly.
