My 2008 X5 has recently stalled a few times when at a stop sign and wont restart for 20-30 minutes. I have narrowed this down to happening ONLY when the AC is running. Any ideas?

This is a long shot, but try this. It may be that your battery is very low on fluid (acid water). The car runs off the battery with the alternator constantly charging it. If it is too low on acid fluid it will not take enough charge. At highway speeds the alternator will put out more amperage and compensate for the weak battery. When the engine is a idle or low RPM the alternator charges less. The AC unit draws current from the battery. AC draw may just enough to overwhelm the weak battery and kill the engine. After the car sits for a little while it is able to crank the engine, partly because the starter, when cool, draws less current. Check the acid/water level in the battery and if adequate, have the battery checked for a dead cell.

Had car jumped, now it stalls when the air conditioner is turned on. alternator read ok. also changed battery but speedometer didn't work after jumpstart, it works with the new battery, but still

There is an idle speed control motor on the side of the car's throttle body that is supposed to keep the idle stable even when additional loads like the AC are on. It's possible the motor may be damaged due to a voltage spike when you had it jumped. It's also possible the AC system may be pulling the engine speed down due to an internal problem with a faulty AC compressor.
Did the shop that checked the charging system check to make sure alternator was charging properly with the additional loads of the AC, headlights and blower motor on? It's very possible the system is overloading a weak alternator.

Engine stalls when turning on the air conditioner

The ac puts a strain on the engine anyways but if it stalls there must not be enough voltage to run everthing.could be the alternator or weak battery.

I have a 99 solara se. I have new battery and alternator but the car can't carry a load. Ac lights heater radio so forth

Not sure I follow your problem.
The alternator puts out 13-14 volts at idle but very few amps. If you turn on the headlights at idle the voltage may drop to 12 until you raise engine speed. The amperage goes up with engine speed.
Is the battery voltage at least 14 when the engine speed is 1500RPM or more ?

92 ford ranger i was coming home and everything was fine but it went off and it wont start again

this could be from a number of things. if it ran until you turned it off, chances are it needs a new battery because the alternator would have supplied the voltage while the truck was running, but once you turn it off, there's no juice left in the battery to start it back up again. check the dc voltage on the battery. if it's below 12 after the truck has been off for at least a half hour, replace it. to test the alternator, have the truck running anywhere between 1,000 and 2,000 rpm's and turn on ALL accessories. put the ac on max, turn on the rear defogger if you have it, turn on the radio, (it doesnt have to be turned up all the way) turn on the lights, high beams, and hazards and check the voltage at the battery. you dont want it to be below like 13v dc. also check for any A/C voltage. there should be none. if there's any A/C voltage, or the DC voltage drops below 13V, replace the alternator.

Engine stalls(dies-down) upon blinking the headlights...

you have a bad ground,or a battery voltage that is so low, that the 20 amps from the high beams circuit is pulling the voltage down so low that the ignition can not run properly.
put on the rear defogger, does it do it? if not, look for the ground junction common to ignition and the high beam circuits.

97 Neon Expresso, Schreeching Fan

Both your air con and defogger (I am assuming you mean front windshield defroster setting, and not the back window) engage the air conditioner pump/compressor.

The screeching can be either a bad belt or a bad compressor.

How long has it been since the belt was changed? If it is old, and slipping, it will cause the screech at speed.
If the belt has recently been changed, and is adjusted properly, I would start looking that the air compressor pump.
