Question about 1996 Audi Cabriolet
Ours made a creaking sound when driving slowly and turning or going over bumps. I found some advice on X5world and the consensus seemed to be the front control arms. Our ball joints were OK but the rubber in the control arms was dry and cracked. I replaced them "4 hour job" and the noise quit for a time now it's back after two years. I'm scratching my head again as the new control arms still look like new the rubber is in good condition.
Grease the joints..you would creak if you were dry..lol!!!! you need to do that once a year or check them if they need it
