Your problem sounds like your mass airflow meter is faulty. You can change this yourself.Itts quite an easy task.when you get the new one.You will see how easy it is to change. And you dont need to have it programed.

Maby your CPU is glitch and is not calculating the right air/fuel ratio or if its an older car your carburettor might need adjusting

STalling out with acceleration

Possible MAF sensor or loss of fuel pressure due to a failing fuel pump is best guess. I would really need to drive it to be sure and run some tests

Engine start but won t stay running

which engine, what country>
but....
1: can you save the stall with fast right foot.
how many miles will it go, before the stall
does it only stall at stop signs?

cant go farther with out that. answer.
but can say. the classic 3 ways.
1: bad engine (lots compression hot)
2: lost spark (is it a diesel? ) oops , there is no spark on diesels.
3: lost fuel or too much.
there are 3 simple tests to find the 3 ways to fail.

I have a 2007 Suzuki xl7. When I first start down the road it seems to drive fine but within 1/2 to 1 mile it starts running very rough, leaping along. This goes for about another 1 to 3 miles. It runs...

ok and XL 7 but what engine options. gas, diesel, 2L , 2.5L?
what?
and most important , and never ever 1 time stated on this forum
what country.
leaping?

im not sure what you are saying.
it runs ok cold, and as it warms , the engine. it stalls.?
and what does same thing mean.?
my guess, it starts fine then stalls; hot.
but can you save the stall?

stalling is complex. can be many systems in the car.
but can be broken down to :
Ever did the 60k mile tune up,ever? if not why not.
never skip 60k\'s or the motor will run like garbage.

1: lost electrical power. to EFI .
2: bad engine, in that when it gets hot , it loses compression.
3: lost park. 1 or more cylinders, 4 or 6 you never said.
4: bad injection. 1 or 6 of them, flooding or starving.
5: bad fuel.
6:EGR sticking , usually this happens just before a stop sign.
7: if the stall was a bog and the fast right foot saved the stall, easy
the ISC is sticking closed.

2003 CUMMINS STALLS BELOW 1/2 TANK RUNS FINE ABOVE 1/2. REPLACED IN TANK FUEL PUMP MODULE STILL HAVING SAME PROBLEM

Just a suggestions but...

Check fuel filter.

Also add some fuel conditioner (e.g. HEAT for diesel) to get rid of any water that may be in your system.

Is a dodge straight 6 diesel engine with 110,000

Yes, that is a good buy depending on price of course. A Cummins engine can run for 300,000 miles or longer. Generally reach the 500,000 mile mark with no major problems. There is a chance of an injector pump going out if it wasn't maintained well. I would buy it. I hope this helps please rate this and thank you

1998 cummins diesel idels fine but stalls less than a 1/4 mile down road.

Have you checked or changed the fuel filter? Will it start and idle after it stalls? I have seen dirty filters or filters that have colapsed cause a similar condition before.

Good Luck
