I just had this problem nice car but i guest they never thought it would bring such huge problems, first you will have to replace the turn signal switch, because of the auto lights (twilights) the switch is worn which in turns keeps the power to the (twilight relay box) that located under the dash, the clicking come from the contacts in that box, some replace the box but chances are the box is good i did not have to.when the the switch is worn it causes constant current to contiune though switch to relay directly thats why if switch is off it stills flow switch is live from battery allways, the dealer wanted 600.00(part&labor) to fix but i went to the salvage yard 80.00 my labor.,take seering cover off and under dash panels,1 hr and a half, my friend just had this pr oblem too!! hope this helped.

It sounds like your Hazard Warning lights are on. Those are lights that you put on when you're stuck on the side of the road. Look for a small switch on the side of the steering column. It could be a rocker switch or a push/pull switch. If you can not find the switch, look in the owners manual, usually found in the glove box.

Radio shut off while driving. All lights on radio display not showing up. Also, when using the turn signals, I don't hear them anymore, and when key in ignition, the chime doesn't sound.

Make sure battery and charging system are working properly. If charging system is not effectively charging the battery and the battery runs low on charge, the vehicle will start shutting down different electrical units/modules in order to keep the vehicle running

When I turn the key...I hear a series of clicks...the lights and radio work...

This sounds like the battery is to weak to activate the starter or the starter is having issues. Would start with trying to chae the battery. If you are able to get the vehicle started Autozone or Advanced Auto can typically check your starting charging system at no charge.

I have a 2000 toyota camry. I turn the key on, dash board lights come on but the engine wont turn. checked the battery, fuses. they are good. could it be the alternator.

Did you have the battery checked by a doing a load test? Do you hear a "clicking" sound when you turn the key to start? If you hear a clicking sound, and you're positive the battery is good (fully charged) it could indicate a bad starter solenoid.

By the way....what kind of vehicle is it....a 00 Camry or an 04 Impala?

I need to know what can provoke the engine do not crank

When you turn the key to start, you may hear a single click or nothing at all, or you may hear a rapid series of clicks, like a woodpecker, or you may hear the cranking sound, but it goes very slowly. The most common cause for any of these is either a weak or dead battery, or a dirty or corroded connection to the battery. Before you go any further, turn your interior light on, then try to start the car. If the light is dim or goes dim when you turn the key to start, then Click here to find out what to do when you have a dead battery.

If the interior light is bright when you turn it on and doesn't change when you turn the key to start, the battery is probably ok. This condition can be caused by the following: (this list is sorted from most likely to least likely)
* You do not have the transmission selector in park or neutral on an automatic transmission vehicle or there is a problem with the neutral safety switch. Try starting again with the transmission selector in Neutral.
* You are not depressing the clutch pedal all the way down on a standard transmission vehicle or there is a problem with the clutch pedal switch.
* There is a problem with the ignition switch or connecting wiring.
* There is a problem with the starter motor or starter solenoid.

Test it and tell us news.

Go to turn the vehicle on - where the dash lights all light up - then turn to start the truck and things go blank - then I start hearing these "click" "click" "click" sounds

It sounds like what you need to do is check your batteries. Clean the cables and terminals very well, then tried again. If it still won't start your battery might be dead. Jump it or charge it and tried again. If it starts but later I will not start you might have a charging system problem or a bad batteries.

Wont start funny clicking sound when i turn the key ???

The clicking you are hearing, is the sound of a weak battery, Jump start the vehicle and take it to an AutoZone for a Charging System check.

Good Luck!!

Interior light / electric locks chattering with no key in switch

Yes, you are missing something. The days of removing the battery cable ended with Generators. An Alternator will self destruct if you do that. Be certain to remove it and get it bench tested. Usually kills diodes and often regulator.

the doors clicking sounds like a problem in the door lock circuit, often in the door jamb. If you inspect and find broken wires in the door jamb, do not repair there, you need to replace the entire length. All repairs fail quickly. The wired need to be new and flexible.

On the no start with new battery, be sure to test the neutral safety switch.

Light signial going off and on no interior lights and wont start can hear a clicking sound

Problem is first that either your battery is not well connected (clean terminals,) or, battery is low on charge either failing from age or not being charged by charging system.(charge battery and test with volt meter) After correcting that, put a volt meter across the battery with the vehicle running.
Voltage should read near 13.5 volts or slightly better but not over 14.
Voltage running with all accessories on including high beams should not drop below 12.5. Jumping from another vehicle may get it started but no matter how long you run it, it can never re-charge the battery (not designed for that) and can actually destroy your alternator. Use a battery charger.
