I was exiting the freeway, when I noticed my 95 accord was over heating and had shut off and wouldnt start. once it cooled down I added coolant and it still wouldnt start. My 95 ford f150 runs great till it warms up it seems then the fuel pump looses power n shuts down wait few mins kicks back on runs fine till few min later

Sounds like your ignition module it is common on fords to do this when its cool it will start and run fine but once it heats up the truck dies until you let it cool down again and then your up and running till it heats up again. Some modules are mounted on the fender others are mounted with the distributor have it checked and let me know how it went.

Hi brought 1989 for daughter driving to her place started overheating on freeway...notice that the fan wasnt working...?once cooled down filled with coolant start ok..but still no fan. 2nd.problem...

for the fan, wire the small fans directly to the positive terminal of the battery. when after driving and finished driving disconnect to save battery. use a spark plug tester, (can be found in walmart) plug at the end of the plug and connect to a nearest ground e.g., valve cover screw or body. if still not working, check fuel pump if it receives electricity or if you hear it run at "ON" position. or try sanding off your distributor. (if it is EFi.) it is a common case of 80's to 90's cars was the distributor.

My 1992 lexus es 300 overheats after i get off the freeway. the temp gauge sits in the normal position until i get off the freeway. i run the heat on hot and at full blast regardless of the temp outside...

Sounds like you could be low on coolant, even more so because the air starts to cool down, check coolant level with engine cold, never open a radiator when hot.

My engines shakes really bad once it starts. it idles for a few mins then it shuts down. this is after it shut down on me on the freeway. all power went of and it just shut down on me. i think is the

I'm no bona-fide mechanic, but I've done a lot of work on cars. It may be you have an engine seriously out of timing. Or you might have loose or worn engine or transmission mounts. If the engine was shaking badly before shutting down, one result of that may be in the fuel system. If your car has a carbeurator, the shaking may have wreaked havoc on your float. If you have fuel injection, I'm not sure what to think.

Hopefully, you've gotten your precise answer before I even read your problem!

GM uses a "ignition module" before installed there is a paste to disapate heat that is smeared on the back of the module. after time the paste thins and dont protect the module from heat. my sujestion is to replace the module it is around 80-100 dollars ( BE SURE TO SMEAR THE PASTE COMPLETELY OVER THE BACK OF THE MODULE ).

95 Accord starting problem

hi,i had the exact same problem, and after many frustrating months ,i found out that by changing the speed sensor relay(located on the gearbox),solved all the problems.6 months have passed and still no troubles.when the motor heats up yhe contacts in the relay expand and dont make contact, thats why if you wait a short time and it cools down a bit it starts.i hope it works for you also.

Radiator fan and a/c fan are not comeing on?

chances are your fan relay is bad,the temp sensor is bad or you fan motors are pad. first the relays are the problem 80% of the time so iw ould check those first it's located ina fuse box under the hood or the dash.
