I have a 05 chevy aveo that wont start. Previous owner had the same problem a few times &said it was because the car wasnt recognizing that it was in park. In the the past, I have been able to wiggle the battery cables and the wires that run underneath the battery & it would start. Now nothing I do helps. Any suggestions? The battery and starter have been tested and are good. When I turn my key the radio, lights, etc. come on and it clicks but wont start.
This is a very simple fix
1. Remove the battery cables
Clean the posts and cable connections with a wire brush till silver.. Put them back on and make sure they are tight
Now try start. If no start then:
.
Follow the POS and NEG cables and clean those ends also. Neg goes to body ground POS goes down to the starter. Make sure they are tight when you put them back.
90% of the time this is the solution to your type problem.

Check for neutral switch , standard trans . ! Or check solenoid on starter ....
Check the positive cable going to the start and the negative cable going to the ground, are the cable tight at the battery.
