There are two types of cv joints used. One type bolts on the other you have to pop out. Do this by prying it out with a big screwdriver. A c-clip hods it in and it will pop out for you. When reinstalling be sure it seats back in.

Click click sound coming from left rear wheel when making a right turn

this is an indication of badly worn CV joints. Replace both because the other side will not be far behind it.

Noise around the wheels of my corolla 2007

'Clunky' noises around the front wheels especially when turning indicates worn Universal 'CV' joints: this can sometimes be minimized by greasing the CV joints. This is a common condition if the CV joints rubber covers or 'boots' are split: if you don't need to replace the CV joints yet, you will need to replace the damaged boots with what are called 'split' boots.

Hope it helps: let me know how you go!

Can turning steering wheel side to side at full lock while stationary stretch or damage cv joints. I was told by one source that it could, but i'm not so sure? Thought they were designed to be able to do...

you could damage the cv joints over time but you will damage the power sterring pump if you hold the steering in lock ,it but strain on the pump by back feeding the presser of the pump and forces the pump presser to build up and damage pump seals

1992 Toyota Corolla CV Joint

You can pick up an entire re manufactured axle assembly at your local auto parts store. In order to replace the assembly you will need to disconnect the tie rod end and the ball joint. Remove the spindle nut. Push the axle stub out of the hub. Now with a suitable container under the axle to catch spilled fluid pry the axle from the transmission housing. Install is the reverse of removal. For more detailed instructions and diagrams go to www.autozone.com vehicle repair guides.

I have a 2001 Corolla that makes a clicking sound on the passenger side when the car is moving. The rate of the clicking increases with speed. Any ideas on what it might be?

First it could be anti-rattle clip on the brake pad clattering. If it's louder when you turn, It is likely the CV joint needs replacing.
