No, it is not a major issue unless it is haunted :) You probably have a faulty switch in one of the doors, most likely the drivers door since it is used so much. You can buy these at any auto parts store or your dealer. I would get one at the dealer since it is a cheap part anyway and will fit perfectly. It is always nice to have a service manual for your vehicle if you want to save money on repairs. Buy a Haynes or Chiltons manual for your car at the local parts store. The switch is a normally closed push to open (disconnect the circuit) and looks like a long button inside a circular housing. Replace it with the new one and your problem should be solved. If it is not the door switch then there is a relay/timer in some models that leaves the interior lights on for a few minutes and/or slowly dims the lights to off position. Your owners manual or service manual will tell you where the relay is. Replace that and you will be in business. Best of luck you.
