Could my battery be frozen? Do I need a new battery?

Your battery is not frozen. In cold weather, a weak battery--one that needs to be replaced--may not work. The cold makes an already weak battery even weaker.

What can cause my battery to fail?

Did the new battery work when replaced? If so then it is the charging system! Look at the alternator first!

Smart entry and start system does not work after new battery put in

Please note: (if you replaced the remote battery)
- New battery is connected in the right polarity.
- New battery is in good working condition.
- Check the voltage of new battery.
- The connecting terminals must be clean enough to provide good contact.
- Hold the remote with the Toyota sign facing toward smart touch button on the car until you hear a sound.
- Place the remote on passenger's seat for five minutes to complete the registration process.
- Start the car.
If the problem persists, retrieve the error codes and put here for further help.
Thanks.

New battery In mercedes no power

I'm not a car mechanic, but, it sounds like you might want to check the fuse to the ignition switch, and, if that fails, it might be a problem with the Start Safety Switch on the transmission. Good luck.

Doesnt want to even attempt to start the battery is good

Try tapping the starter with a hammer while someone bumps the key. If it tries to turn replace starter if nothing happens then i would say the starter solenoid is probably bad.

Car won't start even after new battery purchase

Alternator problem, the alternator charges the battery when car is running, so it has probably died now. Was working at reduced capacity for a while, which is why you were only getting a partial charge for some time. Now you have an open circuit completely as alternator has failed completely, time for a visit to an auto electrician. PS replacing acid in battery with distilled water is not a good idea. It probably was time for a new battery anyway.
