To change the blinker or headlight bulb on an 1997 Oldsmobile 88: Open the hood, remove the plastic cover thing so that you can see the housing for the light. On the back side of the housing there are three clips, remove those (I was able to remove them with just my fingers). Once the clips are removed the whole headlight slides out the front of the car. Now you can easily replace any of the blown bulbs.

Raise the hood and on the back side of the headlight housing are your headlight and blinker bulbs. Find the one you want to remove. Turn it to the left 1/4 to 1/2 turn and remove. Insert new bulb and DO NOT TOUCH THE NEW BULB WITH YOUR FINGURES. IT WILL BURN OUT from the oil on your hands. If you do touch. Clean it very well.

Ving problem with blinkers one side works one side dont I hear the relay working fast on one side and norm on other check bulbs all are fine cA n ya help

Double check your bulbs on the bad side. Your condition (fast blinker flasher, or relay,) is just what happens with a burnt bulb, or a bulb socket not getting power. Are both fron and rear inoperative on bad side? I would think that one would be blinking at a fast rate. If it's not your bulb or a bad (corroded) socket, then you have a wiring problem from the flasher to the bad side. But, first double check your bulbs.

The driver rear blinker is very rapid the driver front blinker doesn't blink, the turn signal in the car is very rapid and we have changed the front bulb can you help

you will need to inspect all of the left side blinker bulbs one of the bulbs that is supposed to blink is bad my buddy has a caviler that had the same problem one of the bulbs ended up being bad it was the rear drivers side bulb. there is also a flasher relay locater under the dash that tends to go bad just listen for the ticking and replace the flasher the flasher costs about 8 bucks at you autopart store ask for a flasher relay. i hope this helps.

2001 Olds Silouhette - The blinker on the dash blinks quickly

NO PROBLEM TURN ON THE RIGHT BLINKER THEN WALK AROUND THE CAR MAKE SURE FRONT AND REAR BULBS ARE FLASHING... IF YOU HAVE A BULB OUT YOU WILL NOT OFFER ENOUGH OF A LOAD TO THE FLASHER... WILL CAUSE IT TO FLASH FAST... IF OK THEN MAKE SURE THE PROPER BULB NUMBER ON BULBS AND MAKE SURE CORRECT BULBS USED IN VEHICLE.... IF OK CHANGE FLASHER

Blinker problems with 97 Camry

May be an issue with the bulb(s) loosing it's ground. Remove bulbs and make sure that the base is clean and touching the sides. ALso that the socket is making proper ground with the car body.Sand clean if necessary.

'97 riviera left blinker comes on but does not blink

The left blinker comes on, but does not blink? Either the front or rear bulb on that side is burned out (turn signal filament only). U can swap bulbs from good side to determine which is the bad bulb, or by carefully checking the bulb filament for damage. Let me know if u need more info.
