Where can you add freon to Sears freezer model 253.9240411? Or is it a closed system?

Freezer stopped cooling recently although it appears to be running and blowing air. I suspect the coolant finally got too low as it was built in 95 and is kept in the garage.

Unless you are a refrigeration service expert, you probably need to call one.

2015 Chevy camero ac quit working, its not blowing cold air

Probably lost freon and now it won't cool. The system needs to be vacuum and pressure tested to find the leak and fix. It could be a seal on the compressor or a leak in a hose or condenser. You should see some oil leaking from the system where the leak is.

The freezer doesn't freeze that good but the refridgerator does work.

It is possible that the defrost cycle is not working. Look for signs of ice built up in the freezer compartment. The excess ice prohibits the air circulation.

26128165-5xkmzur1kbcrfneaoxy43scu-3-0.jpg If defrost cycle appears working and compressor runs continuously it is probable that the Freon is low or compressor is failing.

the usual tell is the refrigerator gets colder than usual and the freezer does not get as cold. The situation is that the compressor runs until the freezer temperature is satisfied. If the compressor can not achieve the cold temperature of the freezer it will run continuously.

When the unit runs continuously the bi-pass of air is increased bringing more cold air into the refrigerator portion of the unit.

Where do i ad freon to my chevy equinox

You shouldn't ever have to add freon to an a/c system. It is a closed system - like your refrigerator. When was the last time you added freon to your refrigerator or home a/c when there wasn't a problem?

If you are needing to add freon, then you have a leak somewhere that needs to be repaired. Your local automotive technician can diagnose the problem for you. Freon should only be added by trained professionals. If you don't know what you are doing, you can charge the system incorrectly causing significant damage to the system.

If you still want to do it yourself, reference this article.
You will need a set of A/C Gauges, and freon.
Do NOT put any type of stop leak into the system - this can cause irreversible damage to the compressor.

The ac is not cooling the compressor is ok only i need to know which is the low pressure valve there is 2 one close to windshield or the second is close to the front fender

If you are looking to add freon, the valve nearest the belt system is the fill side.Fill at one quarter can intervals while car running and A/C on,check every 1/4 can and stop when cool as overpressurization does more harm than good.If you lose coldness within a week, you have a leak.Good luck! Greg

Air condition is not cooling my honday civic lx 96? I bougth a freon's cane and hook it up but the freon doesn't get transfer into the car?what I am missing?

you need to put a pressure gauge on the freon input nozzle and see how much freon is already in your system You are probably getting no cooling because the clutch on the front of the A/C compressor is broken, or the switch on the dash is not opening the vents inside correctly. Putting more freon into an already full system can have unpleasant results. So if when checking the gauge, the freon levels are ok, next, run the car, and look at the front of the A/C compressor.see if the clutch clicks in and out as the A/C is turned on/off. If the clutch free-spins all the time it needs to be replaced, or if its silent completely, the wiring to the A/C needs to be checked. If the clutch is ok, head under the dash ad listen for the vent doors opening and closing as you cycle the A/C on/off. If you can't hear them, a vacuum pipe or electrical connection/A/C switch is to blame.

A/C Cold while driving, gets warms at stop light?

It causes the discharge pressure to rise very rapidly because it's not being cooled to condense the hot freon when it flows through the coil. By the time the hot freon comes back around to the oraface, it's already in it's gas form and there is no evaporation process or expansion. In essence it causes the system to run at it's least efficiency. Hope this answers your question, good luck!

Just stopped cooling

Need to make sure the cooling fans are coming on with the a/c on. If not need to have that part of the system checked.
