This is the part where you need to begin testing Run a code test, check for spark, fuel etc...narrow it down. Get a manual (chilton and haynes are OK basics) and do individual component tests. I can sit in a parking lot and listen to someone attempting to start, and, Id be able to give a better guess by hearing that than i can from here.

Sounds like you are experiencing electrical problems which have to do with your computer in your car and its ability to send signals all through out the engine. you have a loose connection in one of your wires somewhere possibly in the wiring harness. check that.

I have a 1994 jeep grand cherokee and it always starts up, but sometimes it just shuts off randomly while I'm driving and after a few minutes of rest turns back on, the battery will still be worki

Install a new crank shaft sensor. I had the same problem with my wife's Jeep. It would run fine fore days at a time then quit. When the crank sensor goes out their is no spark or injection of fuel into the engine. This is a Hall Sensor. They can be intermittent, and affected bu heat. If your Jeep will not start, try freeing the sensor and see if it starts. Cold Freeze is used in electronics to test

there is only two things left. the crank sensor that is located at the top of the transmission bellhousing or the pick up inside of the dist. it is that black plate that sits between the cap and the dist housing. hope that helps.

The jeep is hard to start after it sits for a few minutes after being ran. The motor turns over very slowly, almost like it has ran out of power.

Check battery (must have a min of 12v and be able to hold at least 9.5v at a 200amp load) Check alternator output: must not charge below 12.9v with all accessories on with engine running. Must not charge above 14v at any time.
Check starter draw: must not drop below 9.5v when cranking. Do these tests in order. First can be done at any shop. both other tests are not valid if battery cannot pass first test. Second and third test can be done with any volt meter attached to the battery.

Hey have you recently changed your head unit. I have a 2000 s10 2.2 and i recently hardwired my pioneer 4000ub head unit and the security light came on upon not starting. every time you try to start the car while the security light is on it will add 10 minutes onto your time. For the security light not to come on you need to check your wiring. just remember dont keep trying becuase it wont work!!! find the problem and fix it.

Sounds like your battery is on the way out. Have a load test done on battery & voltage check on alternator. If all works well once it starts, I'd bet on the battery, but load test will confirm, which they will do for free usually if your buying the battery from them.
