SOURCE: How to replace Shift Solenoid C in 2008 Kia Spectra

To be able to change the shift solenoid you first have to gain access to it by removing the transmission oil pan once you have done this then you should be able to see them and change them out you may have more than one so make sure you are changing out the right one.

I have codes p1765 po753 and 743 on a 1997 Dodge Dakota 4x4 That occurred after replacing replacing relays for the trailer light in the relay box.

All those codes refer to the transmission on an automatic gearbox. Looks like there's a fault on the gearbox electrics.

P1765=Transmission 12 volt supply relay control circuit.
P0753=Shift Solenoid "A" Electrical
P0743=Torque Converter Clutch Circuit Electrical

How to fix this problem ?code#po743 2000ford taurus se 3.0

Code 743 means the computer did a volt drop test on the circuit and found the solenoid to be open or shorted to ground. It could be the solenoid valve, or the wiring.

I have a 2002 kias spectra gsx. A code shows for shift solenoid c . Is it easy to replace or should I take to a mechanic and after I change it should I change the trans fluid. What does that solenoid do?...

Hello shift solenoid is usually located inside the transmission and is a delicate job so yes you might want to consider taking it in to be done.

Check engine light is on, code 1457, I replaced the gas cap...still won't go away?

This is a common problem with these and a few other Honda cars.

The code means "Evap Bypass Solenoid Valve Failure"

The solution is to replace a few parts dealing with the EVAP system.

You can call your local Honda dealer, as there is a TSB (technical service bulletin) on this problem, and it may be covered under warranty.

The TSB number to give them is 03-001.

I have a error code reading of PO 743, Torque converter clutch, what does that mean?

It sounds like the convertor in the exhaust system is partly blocked. You will need to have this checked at a shop. Frankster016
