There is a hydraulic block/valve. Replace it.

you assumption is right
the pump is operating at idle as at full rpms and is controlled by pressure relief valves
When demand for pressure is low the valves will be partially opened and will operate when the pressure is reduced ( ram valve is moved)
Higher rpms maintain the pressure for faster ram operation
I would suggest that you have the system pressure tested by a service centre as it could be a malfunctioning valve (solenoid) or a failing pump

The VG30E engine has hydraulic valve lifters so there is no adjustment possible. You can try replacing the oil and filter, substituting one quart of ATF for one quart of oil. Let it go for 3,000 miles and do it again if necessary. If after the third time the tapping is still there, you will need to replace the hydraulic lifters.

Hello, first you Toyota has dual braking system. It goes like this: Left front brake with right rear brake, the right front brake with left rear brake. This a braking safety system that has been incorporated in auto/trucks for a few years now. If brake line is broken. loose wheel caliper, blow caliper piston, any thing that happens to the brake system. You will still have two wheels that have their hydraulic system. Also, the emergency brake will a manual system for the rear wheels.


Why do you need to change your auto brake lines? That valve you are talking about is a load stabilizer valve. It used to limit the amount of hydraulic fluid as more load is place in the rear of your Toyota. Example. by press on the brake pedal, it activates hydraulic pressure to the four wheel disk braking system. The braking system needs to stabilize the hydraulic pressure to the wheel to keep the vehicle moving in a forward motions. Now, by loading the rear of the vehicle this transfer the load disposition of the vehicle by making it heaver in the rear. Therefore, the load compensator valve limit the amount of hydraulic pressure to the rear brakes.



Another thing to remember about this rear load valve, they will get plugged. and the vehicle will not have enough braking pressure for the rear wheels. I hope I answer you question about this load portion valve in the rear of Toyota. GB...stewbison

Hello, do you have brake in the front or in the back or both? Have you bled the air out of the braking system? You need to think this through instead of RR--remove and replace. The hydraulic brake are the most reliable system that the brake shoes or pads could be down to the metal and it would still stop the vehicle. You lose a brake line or brakes on one wheel, and it will still stop the vehicle with two wheel cylinder or pads working. The brake system is diagonal that is; left front/right rear and right front/left rear. Therefore, if the vehicle loses any one braking system the other will work.


Now, on your Toyota Truck there is load compensator valve hook to the frame with the two rear wheel line going into this valve. The a lever the attached to the rear differential. The way it suppose to work is when a load in placed in the bed of the truck. The load dynamic will position the differential by the load pushing down on the bed. This causes the load lever arm to change position and slightly closing the valve; in turn, limits the brake pressure on the rear wheels.



I don't know why Toyota Motors installed this load compensator valve. It more trouble than what it worth. I have removed these load valves, and took it apart, and plug the valve piston hole with a brass plug. This lets the brake pressure flow evenly through out the braking system.



Remember, you need to bleed the braking system of air and I mean all the air bubbles for the braking system could operate appropriately to manufacture specification. GB...stewbison

if this is an older truck like mine the slave cylinder is internal, inbettween the trns housing and the bell housing. go under driver side of vehicle, stick your arm up in bettween the trans tunnel and the trans where the line comes down and you should feel the end of the line and the bleeder valve for the slave cylinder. at the bottom of the line there will be a clip, if u cant grab it, get something with a strong hook on the end, hook the clip and pull, ( tip) watch out for the fluid comming out it will hurt if you get that in your eyes.

the brakes need to be bleed of air using a special tool that holds open the hydraulic control valve's of the ABS Hydraulic control unit, better brake shops have universal ones the dealer of course has the correct chevy tool, without the tool u can't bleed the brakes completely

Your top is moved by an electric motor wich operates a hydraulic pump which moves two pistons which move the top.
The "oil" thet you see is probably hydraulic fluid leaking from the drain hole in the car near the tire.
You have a leak in the hydraulic system.
You need to start at the motor/pump/reservoir unit behind the seat and find the leak.
Most commonly, it is a bad line. Second in popularity is a bad cylinder(s). Third on the list is the motor/pump/reservoir.
If you replace a line, do them all. If you replace a cylinder, replace them both.
