Question about 1997 BMW 328
I have a check engine light on and the fault codes mention low air flow. I dont hear any noise from the pump. How can I check to see if its the pump or the Vacuum Control Valve that is bad?
Don't worry about it.
The air pump is not good for the car or the environment. It just dilutes the percentage for passing DEQ.
But it is easy to check the control valve just by taking off the small control line, and sucking on it manually. You should be able to feel the air flow in the large hose turn on and off, as you **** and release.
