Can be Emergency brake shoes coming apart inside rear rotor drum. The shoes are banana peel thin and they fall off the metal housing and grind inside the closed in drum.

Better look at rear brake shoe thickness first. If they are ok follow the brake cables up from both rear wheels to were they come together. There is a long thread stud there and a nut. Tighten the nut.
Change the sensor that is on top of the rear differential...You probaly can take it out and clean it and disconnect the battery, and test drive, and it might go off
metal particles on the trigger wheel sensor of the rear differential case, this causes a loose of signal and the light to come on. also a broken tooth on the trigger wheel inside the diff can cause this or a dirty/corroded connection to the sensor from water intrusion.
This isn't hard to do at all really and should be easy to procure the part from the local parts store. There is only one little screw holding it in

NOTE: Clean off dirt and foreign material that may have collected around the rear anti-lock brake sensor before removal. Remove the rear anti-lock brake sensor.

Disconnect the rear anti-lock brake sensor electrical connector.

Remove the bolt.

NOTE: Thoroughly clean the mounting surface. NOTE: Inspect the anti-lock brake sensor O-ring for damage; lightly lubricate the O-ring with axle lubricant. To install, reverse the removal procedure
It could be a couple of things..Either you have a fluid leak and its getting on the brake pads making them grab or it could be the abs system itself.. There is a speed sensor on the rear axle which also controls the abs.. That can be changed easily and isnt too expensive.. Kip
