Your power steeing belt also drives the water pump and altinator. The problem you have now is may be you

have blown your head gasket.Make sure when you add the water to bleed the system of any air. That can cause blow back of water. And also check the water is not coming from the pump seal as that may have blown due to pressure build up when getting hot good luck hope that was helpfull.

Chances are your power steering pump and Alternator run off the same belt. If the belt is gone then that is why you lost battery power and power steering. But the biggest concern. Make sure that your waterpump did not break. This can cause you nightmares, if your not circulating coolant through out your engine.

Now keep in mind, if you've over filled your resivoir with coolant. Excess coolant will be pushed out as soon as Radiator builds up pressure. safety feature.

Check your lower and upper Rad hoses, make sure they are clamped, not cracked and worn through anywhere.

Bmw 325ci power steering/battery light and temperature gauge

Hi ,
It sounds like you lost the belt that runs the power steering pump and the water pump and the alternator. Look under the hood at that belt.
Good Luck

Fuel gage

They get gumed up(more so if they have sat for awhile) other than pulling them out of the tank. the easyest thing to do is add some antiguming fuel additive to your gas. it takes some time. It will losen them up.

I need help resetting my 94 GMC seirra's gas gage

the gas gauge is on the fuel pump assembly with in the fuel tank, you must have bumped it during reassembly. the only solution is removal. pull it out check for alignment and binding, reassemble being very careful. hope this helps.
