Question about Isuzu Cars & Trucks

Open Question

I am writing about my 1995 Isuzu rodeo once again. I got the starter problem fixed. Now I am still having hesitation problems. It wants to hesitate between 1800 and 2500 rpm

It hates hills and loses power until we top the hill. We are unable to go on the highway or interstate because it takes forever to get up to speed. Then it acts like it is choking. I don't want to get rid of my rodeo but she is having problems I don't understand. Please someone help my poor rodeo before she gets a bullet

SOURCE: car loses power when going

The first thing you need to check is fuel pressure. If you don't have a fuel pressure gauge you can buy one from a tool supplier, but the gauge may costs more than the diagnosis from a shop.
Another thing you may want to check is you catalytic convertor to make sure that it is not plugged.

Check for blocked/low fuel flow. ie fuel filter or failing fuel pump.

SOURCE: 2001 focus. Replaced plugs, wires and coil pack.

Have you replaced the timing belt? if not i would highly recommend doing so. these cars need to have the timing belt replaced before it breaks otherwise it can and will cause major engine damage.

I get a random misfire code when my engine is idling on my 04 isuzu 3.5L...i have changed sparkplugs, check all coils, replaced fuel injectors and still get same error message...what should i check ne

you could have a vacuum leak somewhere. check the fuel filter, it may be going bad. and battery. all these will cause a random misfire code. as well as your plug wires. intake air leak, spray carb cleaner around intake manifold while engine is running if the idle changes, then you have a leak. Good-day! but check for vacuum leak first! a vacuum leak will cause engine to hesitate and lose power.

I would start with getting the right firing order you can look up the spec online at autzone on there site they always have diagrams than start by checking and making sure that your getting fuel either a clogged fuel filter or a bad fuel pump that is starting to go bad. Make sure you only have 1 fuel pump some cars have 2 if you have to chances are the one inside the gas tank is the one that 99% of time goes bad but check both for fuel coming out of them to be sure. To me it sounds like your ignition componenets need to be checked and make sure your confident on your firing order than start diagnosing .
