Question about 2004 Nissan XTerra

AC Compressor goes off past position 1 on the fan dial

Same issue as stated in the other message. Was anyone able to fix this? 2006 xterra. Position 1, the compressor comes on but the fan does not blow, position 2-4, the fan comes on but the compressor goes light off.... I get a few secs of cold air from the pre-cooled coils from position 1.

Very strange. Sometimes I get the compressor to stay on in 2-4, so it's intermittant. AC is cold... would it still need a charge? Could this be a bad relay?

99 Regal GS 3800 supercharged wont crank key in ignition all lights go off and car does nothing help!!!

Sounds like you may have possibly TWO problems here. The ignition key not turning past the run position or even to the run position is most likely a lock cylinder issue and may be fixed by replacing the ignition lock cylinder, As for the power being killed when turning the ignition to the start position, that sounds like a defective ignition switch. these items are two seperate parts. The reason for the turn signal issue may be related to the ignition switch fault.
Hope this helps.

Ac fuse keeps burning aut

Ok-are you replacing with the proper amperage? if so then you have either a bad compressor or a wiring problem. Compressor seems more likely but it will have to be tested. Good luck

2001 Nissan Xterra Ac condenser Fan not getting power, AC work fine but no positive at Condenser fan

suspect relay. there will be a relay in fuse for ac fan. usually there are several relays of the same type in the fuse box. look for numbers on the relay to be the same then pull them and switch to see if the relay way bad.if so get a new one. if still nothing make sure no obstruction to fan blade. if no then suspect fan motor. get 12v to fan to see. fans are held in by two bolts on top and they just set in holder so remove the two screws and unplug the power cord and you can lift it right out of the vehicle. then get 12v to the motor contacts and see if it is ok. good luck

Fan does not work on 5 and the ac stopped cooling, connected?

Not likely.. The fan speed swich position # 5 is out but that would not have anything to do with to ac not cooling..

My 2006 chevy impala ac light keeps cutting off and on. When its on its coolin and when its off it just blows warm air. how do i fix this problem

Hello ,maybe i can help. There is a multiple system check to perform, but being as you are asking for help,on fix ya,I can only think you are with out ac gauges and other helpful tools. What we need to check first off is,under the hood, see if the ac compressor is turning when the problem presents it`s self(when the ac light goes off).If so,you may just need a little freon added to the system. If the ac compressor is turning when the ac light is off ,look and see if the cooling fan or fans are running. If the fan or fans are not running, then you have one out of three things happening, One is ,a cooling fan relay is not working,two-as simple as a fuse is blown, and finally,a high side pressure switch that cuts on the cooling fan,or fans has gone out.Of course the possibility of a ac compressor gone weak is also a problem to look at.You may still need a ac service tech to check it out if any of the three things I mentioned are not the problem.I hope this has helped you with your ac problem, and if I can help you any further let me know,,,,roniecon@gmail.com

1500 Conversion Van AC stays on, van overheats. Pulled the AC clutch fan relay and it fixed the overheating thus far, but really need the AC this time of the year. Please help.

ONE SUGGESTION COULD BE TO SWAP THE RELAY FOR ANOTHER TO SEE IF THIS FIXES THE PROBLEM. IF IT DOESN'T, THEN PERHAPS THE COMPRESSOR CLUTCH IS STUCK IN THE CLOSED POSITION. UNPLUG THE CLUTCH TO SEE IF THE COMPRESSOR STOPS. HOPE THIS HELPS. PLEASE KEEP ME POSTED. THANKS FOR USING FIX-YA AND FOR AN HONEST RATING. GOOD LUCK
