Hold title till check clears. If the check is bogus, report vehicle stolen. Also make sure you have an extra key to recover the vehicle with.

Is a 2001 hrv pre-drilled for towbar fitting? Also is there a fitting guide available?

if you want to fit the tow bar your self you should be aware that by fitting a tow bar it is a modification to the vehicle and requires a certified plate attached to the vehicle to cover insurance requirements and road worthy inspections
next most purpose built tow bars sold by auto shops will pick up existing holes in the sub frame mand you can get a harness that piggy backs onto lights on one side for the trailer
Best talk with a tow bar retailer/ fitter as they can certify the bar and the fitment and have a harness in stock

Mrsjd_0998@yahoo.comCheck on light comes on then the a small wrench icon appears. The message along with check engine now says engine in safe mode. The car loses all pick up. whats the problem

safe mode means the computer is protecting the engine by shutting down some operations - like half the cylinders.

go to autozone & have codes read (DTC) free.

TRANSMISSION SLIPS WHEN SHIFTING INTO OVERDRIVE

Check your tranmission fluid level. If this is not the solution, you will need to get a diagnosis at an ASE certified shop. This will tell you exactly what the problem is as it could be so many things.(e.g. fuse, ECM, etc.) The shop will generally discount the price of the repair, the amount for the diagnostic, as long as they do the work. Good luck, safe driving...

2000 TDI beetle, Air conditioner problems.

If there is sufficient refrigerant in the system You know one thing. That there are NO LEAKS IN THE SYSTEM.
The only way to check this is with a manifold gauge, which should only be operated by a cetified HVAC TECHNICIAN OR EQUILIVANT.
If there are no leaks , sufficient refrigerant now we have to determine whether you have a bad sensor,is there a blockage in the system,is the problem related to the head control panel(on/off,hot/cold and postion switches) or a bad compressor clutch or relay.
In your case there is no leak, and one tech says something was freezing over. Well if you see frost somewhere on the a/c line usually that happens because of a blockage. Most condenser problems are leaks, high pressure leaks because the condenser is on the high side of the system. Not likely but you could have a blockage there. Check for frost at the condenser while the a/c is on . Remember where ever you see frost that is your blockage.
These are all of the checks I can safely tell you to perform. Beyond this a certified Technician should do them. Refrigerant is dangerous and its illegal to perform cetain procedures without the proper licensing. The electrical checks on the sensors and switches should also be conducted by a certified Technician. Try bringing the vehicle to a repair shop that employs ASE certified Technicians. Make sure the Techn who services your vehicle is certified in a/c repair. Look for the ASE certificate in the shop with his name on it and current certifications.

It has to do with a steering issue, when driving car on straight stretch of road , it stays straight, no swerving at all on straight road, . But, when i make a turn at intersection or go around a curve on...

If it is trying to drive you into the kerb it is called oversteer. If it seems as if it doesn't feel like going round the corner at all it is called understeer. It has to do with the angles of your wheels or that your shock absorbers are worn. You need to have the wheel alignment, camber and castor and shock absorbers checked. If there is a bigger problem they will pick it up when they do the checks.
