Check why the slide out is not locking in the closed position
should be solenoid controlled locks/ clips that activate when in the closed position

Electric sliding door on a 2004 T/C

When it is doing this does the door feel loose? It could possibly be off track or the track could be stripped out. Keep me posted.

Thanks - Tech101

What powers the slide out ?

If you are referring to a camper, the 12 volt auto battery powers them. Fully charge the battery first. there is a switch inside the camper to power the motors be sure its turned on. A lot of campers seem to have a problem with poor wire connections and broken wires. clean all connections check for broken wires and check fuses. good luck.

What is the year of my travel camper? And can u help me get a owners manual?

the details that you have to provide will be on the manufacturers plate attached to the 'A" frame or inside a cupboard door
you description fits about 60% of vans on the road today so no one can help you unless you find the details and re-post them

2007 Chrysler Town and Country Sliding Door Problem

The wire that provides power to your door is split in half. This is caused by normal usage and results in lose of power when the door opens or closes and causes wire to twist which splits the two ends resulting in lose of power in only one location.
You can fix it by following the post by "grimmster" and "lane" on the following web forum (scroll to the middle of the forum to see their solution). This should only cost $10 bucks (need electrical tape; soldering iron and wire from Home Depot) rather than hundreds at the dealer:

I just bought a 1976 Chevy with an Open Road camper on it that goes over the cab. It seems that Open Road Campers Inc. does not exist anymore. I don't have a manual for it (the camper) and can't find...

Is it a slide in camper? and if so there should be jacks that go at the 4 corners above the truck box. you lift the camper up slightly and drive the truck out from under the camper. The jacks could have been removed and stored in the camper under a bench seet in the dinett.

I backed n2 my husband toyota and dented the

If you haven't already solved this, Start at the rear corner light. Next to the liftgate there are two plastic covers to open with a flat screwdriver. Remove the two phillips screws and pull light straight back firmly to remove the light. Let it hang. Remove the two phillips screws holding the metal track cover behind the light on the side of the van. Open the door, and remove one track cover screw with a 10 mm socket at front of cover looking back in door jam. Close door and slide track back about an inch and then pull straight out from the side of the van revealing slider track. Hope this helped

The wires you have are white for common, 1 black for slide in, 1 black for slide out, and green for ground. Verify the direction that each of the black wires moves the slide before wiring. You will need a 3 position switch also.
