Usually caused by failed alternator. Remove the alternator and have it tested at your local parts store.

I have a 94' lexus, it's been running smooth but all of a sudden the engine won't crank at all. All the interior lights and dash come on but when i turn the key nothing happens.

If you have strong headlights, you may have a bad starter relay. Turn on the headlights hi beams. THEN have somebody try to start the car (crank) it. If the headlights DIM significantly, you have a bad battery (how old IS the battery). Check the terminals, and if it is a maintenance free battery, look for a manufacturing date. It's probably 4 or more years old. Remove the battery and take it to an auto parts store (O'Reilly, Advance, Checker, Auto Zone, etc) and they can test it. You won't be charged to test it but they will have to try and charge it first to test load capability, etc. IF the battery checks out OK, you may have a bad alternator that isn't sufficiently charging the battery. But my guess is that you just have a bad battery. If the headlights do NOT DIM when you try to crank it and NOTHING happenes, NO CLICK, etc, then the starter relay is bad or the connection to the starter is bad. A bad starter can also mimick this problem, but start with the easy solutions first, like a bad battery. Good luck!

1996ford mustang v-6 5speed if headlight switch pull out is bad will it cause battery to discharge?

As long as the lights do not stay on, a broken switch should not drain the battery. Why don't you pull the fuse on the headlights and taillights?

Usually the high /low dimmer switch on the column goes bad or a headlight relay, headlight switch supplies power to the dimmer switch.

Slight flicker with headlights. Replaced battery which was needed. Headlights still flicker. Had changed out original lamps with brighter lamps. Could this be the problem?

Bad plugs on the bulbs.Bad grounded lights wiring.Bad alternator ground.Bad alternator charge.Bad lights switch. Also ,the new lamps may show more sensibility in voltange change or put more pressure on a older bad wiring link.

I change the day running light module in my 1998 mustang and the headlights still flicker

The headlamp switch or the multi function switch(turn signal, wiper switch) is causing your problem. Find out what switch is cheaper and replace it. I've seen the headlamp switch go bad more than the multi switch.

Dash lights, tail lights, brake lights, not working 1965 mustang

Probably either a bad ground (broken wire, rust) or a bad headlight switch. The brake light circuit goes from the stop switch (Located up above the brake pedal) through the headlight switch, through the light bulbs to ground. The tail light circuit goes through the headlight switch, through the bulbs and to ground. The only things that are in common are the headlight switch (Is this the switch you replaced?) and ground.
Not much, but hope this helps.
Have a super day!
