Question about Ford Cars & Trucks
Bought 1999 Nissan quest. Starting chugging like no gas then afterwards went into over drive. Had the Ford House Test they stated Fuel Pressure Regulator. When replacing the Regulator had been throwing fuel out - It was bad. Now its replaced it tries to start but does not stay running? Wanted to replace fuel pump as filter is new?
Replace the fuel pump relay first(it is cheaper than the pump) If it is still starving for fuel, change the pump. Its a 1999 and it is probably time (Age). If you get it running add 1 can of B&G44K to fuel, to condition Injectors. It is only available through dealerships (11.00 a can at Toyota) do not substitute, it is the best on the market. Do the B&G every 30,000 miles with a fuel filter change for continued performance. Perform an ODBII scan for any other problems, to avoid buying parts you don't need.
