Hi Steven burton, I want to help you with your question, but I need more information from you. Can you please add details in the comment box?
Have you checked all fuses? Perhaps there are others that blew.

SOURCE: I changed the battery and

At a guess, I'd say that you have got the new battery in back to front. This means that you are hooking the earth wires to the Positive side of the battery.

SOURCE: accidentally reversed the battery cables on my 98

If your car came with the Prestige Alarm unit, there is a possibility that the alarm box got deprogrammed or burned, and left the anti-theft activated. Use the Valet Switch to deactivate the alarm permanently, and see if the car starts. For some reason unknown to me, it takes a couple of cycles of crank/ take the ignition switch off, crank again for the Valet Switch to work. In my 98 Accord, this micro-switch is installed in the left front kicker panel, but there is no guarantee that it will be in the same place in you accord, since it is a dealer installed option

I change the battery on a 2008 Honda Accord but reversed the cables negative on pos. positive on negative I now have nothing now. No light, no power, to any part of the car

There is another fuse. I am not sure in that model exactly, but in the 2003 Acuras and such, there is a fuse under the hood, in the fuse box. It is generally black, squarish and has a clear window on it. I did this once as well, changing a battery and all I had to do was change that. Good luck.

I HAVE A 1988 HONDA ACCORD DX,WHEN I TRIED STARTING IT EVERY THING WENT OUT

If there is no power presently, most likely it blew the fusible link, Honda's have a fusible link just off the battery and is located usually along the inside of the passenger fender follow the wire from the battery and you will find it, most likely that is the culprit, good luck.

Where is the fusible link in a 1991 honda accord.

Honda uses real fuses in most cases. There should be some large amp fuses in the box near the battery. You may need to use a test light or meter to check the fuses for power.

Aftermarket stereo won t power on

you blew the fuse
check the fuses to radio, can be 2 or more.
1 in fuse box.
2 in radio, (some have 1 , and others have 2 or 3 more in side radio)
anything is possible with aftermarket, radios, 10,000 models, vast years. Ive repaired many. (ET)

the radio has a red wire, usually for power,
most radios have 3 power wires,
1 for rad ( this one dead) use a volt meter here.12v key on.
1 for dial
2 for memory

Navigation, radio, and clock not coming on?

Why did you replace the lighter fuse in the first place - something may have shorted something out? when you put in the new fuse does it blow right away? make sure the fuse is the correct amp for that spot. also check all the fuses - sometimes there can be more than one fuse that controls many items such as radio, nav, and lights.to answer your questions though no it cant really be anything else than a short blowing a fuse. you just have to find which fuse it is and where the short could be.
