I have a 1997 nissan pathfinder 3.3 with automatic transmission. often (not consistently) when warm, I put the car into "park" and it will idle at 1100-1400 rpm. I'm unsure of the problem and need help....

Basics first - check the throttle pedal and the cable and any linkage is not binding and is fully returning, that any return springs are in good order and not weak or worn and that any cable or linkage has sufficient free play to allow all parts of it to fully return.

Nissan Sentra 2008 will not start

First try turning the steering wheel and jiggling the key simultaneously. If this doesn't work, your problem could be caused by the link between the ignition lock and the switch. Have your ignition switch and your key tumbler assembly replaced. It's an 08. It's under warranty !
