Question about Cars & Trucks

On my 2008 camry I reversed polarity when connecting the battery. Reconnected with the correct polarity, but the car will not start/crank! Have I caused damage that cannot be repair with a fuse etc?

Are you sure you have battery polarity correct? Positive is usually red, negative and connection to frame is usually green. Car may be smart enough to complain about this kind of thing. The electronics would get fried if installed improperly. Double check. Check Owner's manual, troubleshooting. Google your problem. Other owners may have had similar problems.

Did they reverse polarity on you ? It's possible that they did just that, and when reconnected it, fried your electronics.

Golf battery polarity

reversed polarity, check fuses. check the system for burnt wires also !
Always hook up your battery terminals correctly, as the alternator may be damaged if the battery is hooked up backward. jump start car, if it will. there should be at least 13.7 to 14.2 volts at battery posts while its running. if alternator is ok.

Car wont start after battery was disconnected then reconnected

If you're sure that you connected right (correct polarity) you should check the ignition fuse that is almost always located inside the car near the foot pedals to the left.

Reversed polarity on 2000 mazda millenuim, now my car wont start

if you are lucky, only the fusible link(in the fusebox in the engine bay) is blown. if you are not lucky, a whole lot of modules are blown, and this is really expensive.
