How to remove sticky bandaid residue from skin

Baby oil is an effective kind way to do this.

Then in order of severity, eucalyptus oil or tea-tree oil, then finally acetone (nail-polish remover) but don't overdo that one.

How to eplace the brake pads on a VolksWagen.

Start lifting up the car and removing the wheel.

Behind the wheel you will see The brake pads.

If you are doing front wheels turn the wheel toward yourself.

The brake pads are held in place by the caliper. The caliper is secured with two 15 mm bolts, and two 13 mm on the opposite side.
Once you undo the caliper you should also find an apex clip on top op the pads.

Once you have done that , slide the caliper up and remove the pads. On VW this opens anticlockwisely.

To refit you may need to compress the caliper. You can use a clamp, but on VW I compress the caliper using a robust wooden stick as a lever inside the U shaped part.

Before putting the new brakes I use an hand file tool to mill the corners of the pad, this will increase initial aderence to the rotor disk.

After fitting new pads, always check brake fluid level.

Remember that the car will have reduced braking power when you install new pads, this will make vehicle unsafe for a while. If the car does not recover regular braking power after a couple of miles, have it inspected by a mechanic.

Rear brakes on 2011 kia sorento

Try a question rather than a statement.

I also give you the below from another answer:
Buy a Haynes or other manual. You need the pictures, dimensions, specifications and torques. DO NOT JURY RIG OR GUESS ON BRAKES. The fact that you have posted here for the entire world to see, if your brakes are not spot on and you hit someone, you will lose everything you hold dear in the subsequent lawsuit.

if front passenger/driver door, all cars are much the same.

arm reset on some.
2: remove the card skins, some unscrew, some just pop off from bottom to top.
3: remove plastic sheet (thin) if still there (moisture barrier)
4: see lock , sure, remove link clips (they turn and unlock)
5: unbolt lock.

Is there a place I can go that would give me instruction on how to change out the inside and outside passenger door handles on my 1999 Toyota corolla?

The best place to look would be a hanes repair manuel you can get them at about any parts store. The other place online Google search 99 toyota corolla door skin removal. alout of times you can unscrew all the screws in the panel if power acceceries are on the arm rest should be able to pull up the back side and pull up and out then there should be corigated clips that hold the door skin on pull loose the bottom and push up and the door skin should come up be carefull when pulling don't pull to hard where the panel breaks they actully sell flat prying tools to remove the corigated pins when ready to put back together put the pins in the door skin start at the top slid top in push lower in install bolts. Removing the outerpanel best off to change door when the door skin is off it is much lighter. there is bolt clusters in the door hinges you will have to remove plus any wires. when putting new door on get another person to hold the door while instaling it will make it much easier. Keep bolt snug and push new door until alined open and tighten bolts

How do I eplace the front rotors on a 1997 Mitsubishi Montero Sport 4wd? Is there a special tool required to remove and replace the rotor and is there an adjustment needed inside the hub?

jack up the car, first break lugs, and remove tire. There are two bolts on the front back side, if it like are endeavor then I compressed the caliper piston and then I had to take apart the caliper as the old pads did not come out, those are the two bolts on each end. then put back on. Once the caliper is off the rotor will come off as it is held on by the caliper. Just be careful with the caliper once it is removed as it is a brake line, you can use a hanger for it does not pull on the line when it is off the rotor. Good Luck Tim

How do you remove door panel off a freelander 51 plate. Winder making a grinding sound and sticking at times all help welcome

Yes they're easy to fit but there is a point to watch to avoid instant failure of the cable.

proceed as follows (5 door).......

remove the screw from behind the interior door handle and remove the trim
carefully prise the door pull trim off and remove the screws from behind
05 models onwards, remove the window switch assembly by pulling the whole black trim upwards
remove the plug behind the springy cup holder thing and remove the screw inside
finally remove 4 screws from the lower part of the door trim
carefully prise the door trim from the door and try to avoid breaking any clips

To get the reg out.......

Carefully remove the water shedder, this is easier said than done and really it should be relaced, if you have a new one, just rip it off.

Now, the point to watch, before removal, look at how the cables cross over and the cable nearest the outer side of the door crosses over the inner one and is clipped to the inner door skin, it MUST be refitted this way to keep the cables away from the window otherwise the window will catch the cables when wound down and break them, this is a common mistake so take your time and look before removing.

Next, Wind the window down (if you can) and loosen the 2 bolts that hold the window to the regulator, pull the window up and tape it to stop it dropping. If you cant wind the window down, cut the cables.

Remove all the 10mm bolts that hold the reg in and wiggle the reg out of the door.

Twist the new reg so the cables cross as previously mentioned, make sure they cross the right way, the cable with the pad should be nearest the inner door skin with the one without the pad crossing it on the outside.
Fit the reg in the door and tighten all the bolts, clip the non padded cable to the clip on the inner door skin.
refit the window.
Now, check the operation and make double sure the window doesn't catch on the cables, once your happy, fit the shedder and the door trim.
