BAD HEAD GASKET OR CRACKS BLOCK OR HEAD./
AND MORE. LOTS OF TESTS TO FIND, IT.
Hi Bill,
I don't know where you can get a diagram for the bolts but what I usually do is stick them in the bolt holes and if they are bout 3/4 inch left proud I know that I'm usually close enough that it will work without bottoming out or blowing through..
full flush it yet. (AF change out is very limited)
rad tubes clogged, use pyro gun to find this easy.
bad pump. all AF goes acid if IGNORED.
fan belt slips.
Rad fans dead.
thermostat upside down
thermostat bleed hole not up hill , trapping air in block making gauge fail too.
is the block really full of AF or are you reading the liar tank, onside.
check rad levels in the RAD cap neck for full or not. dead cold.
is it is really overheating or only the fibbing gauge , tells you that,?
no steam?
no bursting of AF out side tank
no pinging,?
no loss of power.?
lots and lots of signs , not one stated.......do so please.
A/C trips off line? (it too has over heat detection)
FLUSH THE COOLANT AND DRIVE 5MILES WITH ONLY WATER Sorry caps on, ok , the oil can not come from the engine. easy. as there is no easy path (besides cracked head or block) the oil gallery is to head is only 0.050" yes i mike everything i touch. you could bypass the oil cooler on the tranny. you could send the oil in rad, put in med bottle and get it checked for ATF or Engine oil. if the A/T ATF is still pink ?then is the water test above pink>??? easy huh> im sure jiffyboobs didnt to your car too , right?
keep in mind at start up the RAD pressure is 0 and hot 14psi so the A./T pump can sure has H3LL push fluid to the rad. and when hot , it can go the other way. differential pressures.
AF in engine oil is easy with bad head gasket or warped head. usually the Eng oil dont go to RAD unless real bad. super warped. if spark tips are not soaked in oil, then good. or green.
the pure water trick will help. help see color better. and not react with chems in AF. do not leave water in overnight or day frigid temps or the block will crack. like this. (not me, Florida bimbos) http://www.fixkick.com/engine/97-motor-pull/images/freeze-damage97w.jpg
you will have to remove the motor, pull oil pan replace crank and change the push rods and cam but if your are going that far why stop for just that little bit you might as well go and pull he heads have them port and pollished add headers and new high rise intake and bigger carb the remove the oem fan and water pump buy a electric water pump and electric fans to mount on the radatior.
seems to me that you could have an air lock, try loosening the rad cap slightly and run car until fans kicks in, squeeze upper rad hose a few times to push any air out. Careful with hot hoses. see if this helps.
They can get all the parts. They also provide haynes repair manuals, any special tools (probably not required for this vehicle) and any special disassembly instructions.
