Interior lights turn off after 30 minutes, will that drain the battery. It just started doing that.

Should not be enough to drain the battery unless you continue to do small drives, the interior light uses a very small power usage but still should not be staying on that long.

Why won't headlights stay on after you turn off the engine?

Do you have DIC? (Driver Information Center). If you have controls on the steering wheel you can change the program to keep the headlights and the interior lights on. Maybe you can borrow an operators manual if you don,t have one. Simple procedure. Keep us posted, good luck.

2004 grand caravan some dome lights stay on rest shut off normally

Is there perhaps a problem with the dome light switch on the lift gate? Close all the doors, open only the lift gate and find the switch on the lift gate frame (usually a rubber covered "bump") and press it in. You might have a loose wire shorting against the bodywork or the door is not depressing the switch properly.

My van dings all the time when under 20 mph and the light stay on for 15 min. after car is off. The door ajar light is on but all doors are shut. Is this an electrical problem? Is there a way to shut off...

one of the door/van loading door switches has failed it thinks a door is open so the the interior light stays on and the door open warning will ding the interior light should have a switch to disable it or take out the bulb but you cant stop the dinging until you find the faulty latch switch and fix it

Interior lights stay on when the switch is off and car is parked

is the door ajar light on sometimes also when driving? I had a similar problem with the light staying on. I determined that it was the passenger front door latch sticking. I opened the door, then took a screwdriver to push the latch shut on the door jamb. (Make the truck think the door is shut even though it is open). Then lubricate that jamb and pull the handle open to open the door. Keep doing this (closing with screwdriver and opening with handle) until the latch works freely. This took care of my light and door ajar problem.

Check to see if the little spring-loaded switch is being depressed when the door is shut. It will be on the inside of your door. Push it in with your finger to verify the switch is still spring-loaded. If not, there could be your problem.

Flat battery

Sounds like the timing unit which automatically turns off your dome lights after a few minutes is working backwards. Probably need a new unit.
