It will be on the engine block close to the oil filter. It will have a wire connected to it.

The only way to know if you need engine repair or you have a bad sender is to hook up an oil pressure test gage to the sender port and manually check the pressure. You will need the deep oil pressure sending unit removal tool to get the sender out (I did this).

A 2001 Dodge Stratus SE has a 4 cylinder 2.4 liter engine it should be under air cleaner box bolted into engine on top of front side of transmission with red battery cable attached to it. Hope this helps

Wherer is oil pressure sending unit at on a 2004 dodge intrepid with a 2.7 engine


looking at the wire harness it looks like its on the right front of the block which is the passenger side front underneath sometimes locators are wrong there is a heat shield covering it also there is a Technical Service Bulletin out on this problem for the blinking light usually it's the pressure sender but you may have oil pressure problems also

Where can I find the oil pressure sensor on a 2001 Dodge Stratus, 2.4 DOHC?


It is located in the back of the engine....the side facing the firewall....it sits above the crankshaft position sensor....you have to jack the car up and get almost in the middle of the car looking up, to see it.
