Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

SOURCE: 2004 Toyota tundra four wheel drive won't engage

Does the 4wd icon on the dash blink when you try? The most common problem I have seen is the 4wd actuator sticking. Its mounted towards the rear of the transfer case on the drivers side(US). It has about a 3inch electrical plug on it. Locate it and with the truck running have someone push the 4wd button while you lightly tap on the actuator motor. They can sometimes stick from lack of use. If it doesn't free up it may need to be replaced which is rather involved. The transfer case would need to be removed and opened up to replace.
Good luck.

SOURCE: what cause overdrive light to come on while

This is like a check engine light for your transmission. Something is slipping or out of its values. Get it checked out with a code reader.

2007 toyota tundra a/c clutch won't engage. Is there a fuse or relay?

Hi Jim, When that happens it usually means that the gas has leaked out and the pressure in the system is too low to operate. There are pressure sensors in the system for just that reason. Have the pressure checked, or if you live somewhere where you can buy the do it yourself kits, purchase one and check the pressure. If not you would do well to go see a refrigeration technician. There are relays and fuses but the most likely cause is the one I've mentioned. Regards John

WHEN I START THE ENGINE THE OVERDRIVE OFF LIGHT COMES ON. I HAVE TO PUSH THE SWITCH TO GET IT GO OFF. joe king

This is correct! On other vehicles like the Ford Escape, when you start the vehicle the Overdrive is always on, and to turn it off, you would have to press the button to turn it off.

If this is just now happening for the first time, please include the details leading up to this issue.

I have a 1992 ford explorer which will not shift into overdrive, nor does the four wheel drive work. What can be causing this. The tranny fluid level seems to be fine so I don't think that could be the...

I had/have both of these problems with my '92 Explorer. They were unrelated. My overdrive problem
required a transmission rebuild. My four wheel drive not working is apparently a problem with the
computer which is hidden behind the left rear quaterpanel (in the jack compartment). Your four wheel
drive problem could be as simple as a blown fuse. There are 2 fuses for the four wheel drive system.
One inside under the dash and another higher amp fuse under the hood on the battery side. Or it
could be the more expensive problem like my computer problem or the engagement motor needing
rebuilt. The computer has a diagnostic mode that you can access by pressing the little square white
button on the underside of it with the key turned on but the motor not running. If the little red light
next to the button stays on, then the computer is bad. If the light flashes, the engagement motor is
bad.

I've seen this before.....check the switch harness where it makes the bend from the gear selector down the column....its part of the O.D. switch...you might have to pull the knee bolster (panel) I think the wires break from movement of the shifter
