sounds like a vacuum leak. Most likely in the intake manifold gasketit could also be a broken vacuum line. Get a can of carborator cleaner start the car letting it run at idle remove the air cleaner first then while it is running spray the carb cleaner directly on the manifold at the connection to the block where the gaskets are located now when spraying if the engine speed increases that is where the leak is.
