I found a couple things for you to try.
1. after a new battery is installed you need to keep the car running until it reaches operating temp. Once it gets there for a few minutes turn the AC on full blast to teach the idle pattern.

Thank you Bill...we have tried both solutions to no avail...we are baffled...we tried the instructions in the manual of what to do after reconnecting the battery and nothing...I guess we will have to get the codes off it but we can't drive it to a service garage(no acceleration) a loss...thanks again

When I tried to change battery alarm and all lights went on. How to install new battery in Nissan xtera 2006?

Disconnect the negative cable first and then the positive cable and remove the battery. The lights/alarm will go out when battery is disconnected and may come back on when reconnected. Use door lock key fob to shut alarm/lights off if they come back on when battery is reconnected

How do I change the starter for my 2006 Chrysler Sebring touring

You'll need a set of metric sockets and end wrenches. Then disconnect the positive battery cable. Wrap the terminal you removed from the battery in a rag and secure it away from the battery. Follow the positive battery cable down to the engine block. It will most certainly be connected to the starter. Remove the cable and any other small wires. Make a diagram showing where to reconnect them. Remove 2 14 mm bolts from the starter to bell housing. Remove starter. Reverse the procedure to install new one.

Removed battery cables on my 2006 Freestyle. After cleaning I replaced the cables and when I started the car it now has check engine code and wrench light on gauges on as well and the car will not...

Tom, you will have to get the code read to see what the problem is. The one other thing to try is disconnect the + cable on the battery and let it sit for 10 minutes before hooking it up again to reset the computer.

How do i reset change oil light after oil change

This is n easy fix.
Just take and disconnect your positive battery cable for a moment, and then reconnect it.
This should remedy your lite problem. If it does not that you have something else amiss.

Happy Motoring.

2006 corolla- check engine light comes on. i replaced the battery (old) and i reconnect it it runs fine for about a minute no warning lights then shuts off check engine light is lit and will crank but not...

Does it run for a full minute or start then shut off within a few seconds?
If the latter, then it sounds like the anti-theft system has kicked in and needs to be reset.

2006 corolla- check engine light comes on. i replaced the battery (old) and i reconnect it, it runs fine for about a minute, no warning lights, then shuts off, check engine light is lit and will crank but...

Open hood ensure new battery is disconnected.
Open main fuse panel cover under hood and remove horn relay (so you don't have to listen to the horn).
Use the key to lock the drivers door.
Connect the positive battery terminal.
Connect the negative battery terminal (security system will now activate, hazards lights will flash and horn would be going off if the relay was not removed).
Use the key to unlock the drivers door.
Get in, close drivers door.
Use the key to start the engine.
Security system will deactivate.
Get out of vehicle, reinstall horn relay, replace fuse panel cover, close hood.

Check Engine Light

I had the problem with the engine light and the ESC light on. At the same time the car would not accelerate. I disconnected and reconnected the battery and works fine now.
