Question about 2005 Hyundai Santa Fe
2005 hyundai terracan has 50,000 miles, owned it from new and fully serviced. now on faster journeys 70mph+ it loses power after maybe 5-10 miles, no missfire, just gradual decrease in speed until any incline means changing down gears until almost stopped. tried revving the engine and only manages 2500 or so,when left ticking over for a few minutes it is better but not perfect. diagnostics show nothing amiss but fuel filter is Very hot, too hot to touch.
Check transmission sensor, I hope is not time for a new transmission

Hi, did you solve your problem? i have a similar problem. sine i put a quarter of a tanks worth of diesel in the car, it now wont rev above 3000 rpm.ive done what people recommend such as, oil level, coolant level, fuel filter change, disconnection of the mass air flow meter.could the fuel cause the lack of power? its as though its on the limiter.
